Most of the people on e-bikes kids and alike I'm just trying to get from one place to another "without being drenched in sweat" in fact most of the people on anybody going to need scooters are doctors nurses and lawyers trying to get around the city. To and from work. Now the very few occasions you see people on dirt bikes who are doing wheelies I'm pretty good at it they know what they're doing, so they don't usually have accidents?!? When they do it's not against the car it's usually a wall or usually them crashing by themselves. And then the last thing I guess it's too intrusive and you're asking police, they don't have any incentive for higher clarification of laws, no higher education for law enforcement to really understand the laws. And how the real world impact or the job is impacted by the application of laws "there'll be two eager to enforce" and make grave mistakes that will erode The public's confidence and respect for them or the laws. If you know what you're doing you can modify any e-bike to go over its speed limits. And it's not detectable at all, and when you start regulating, they will have to be some confiscations of the bikes 😠 to get accurate readings like speed test in all those kind of things.
E-bikes were supposed to help people cope with hills and help those who could not otherwise ride. I have zero problems with that, but look who's riding them - young kids and healthy adults who ought to be riding real bicycles and getting exercise. These people don't even pretend to pedal - there's only one guy in the entire video who is half-heartedly pedaling. The pedals are merely decoration. These are nothing but electric motorcycles and ought to be regulated as such.

That’s not a bicycle it’s an electric scooter, you don’t have to pedal it as a throttle. Period.
Are they going to get tickets? What’ll happen if they don’t pay the tickets?
Arrest warrant
@@chocolatewheelchair no way… they don’t even arrest looters 😂
@@hittnguy you asked. Me told.
They'd try to seize their bikes is my guess, which is against the constitution.
Every boomer on here commenting would have owned one.
Angry old people suck.
Exactly! They say the same thing about skating, and anything else young people enjoy
Actually, at over 66 I have 2 ebikes, and I might have 3 soon. I ride daily, almost every day but not rainy days.
@@Mark-qv4bn You're winning at the game of life sir
We had bikes when we were kids and didn't surround cars then flip them off, or set off large fireworks in enclosed public spaces with innocent children around and wound innocent people. Sociopathic young people suck.
I’m 73 and have an awesome ebike dude!🤣
I really learned that politicians just make laws, to keep from doing real work😅 how many of the real issues going on in every community and they're making laws about ebikes 😢 not that the battery should be regulated so they don't explode "but who can have them" it's it's borderline bat poop crazy!
Here in Philadelphia we have gangs of kids and grown people, who are on pedal bikes, the do Willie's straight at cars like a stupid game with chicken.
To all Gen Z stop using the word like every other word it sounds so stupid!!!
Helmets required for riders 16 and up but not under 16? What?
Get out here, they’re doing wheelies on a e bike while your in a 2 tonne vehicle, I think your pretty safe.
Kids, if you truly respect what this country was built upon,
Defy these rules as hard as you can.
GO OUT OF YOUR WAY too make it hard for them to enforce and know your routes of escape and how you can maneuver with your bike into places patrol cars cant go.
Defy the city and defend your freedom.
C how they dont mention any bad things they are doing
Damn they just want more money.
Have rode 150 CC scooters for over 25 years and my next bike will be a Ebike. Drives me bonkers when I see any cyclist ignoring traffic laws like " doesn't apply to me".
Lost me after the 2nd “like”
A driver inconvenienced by e bikes, lol . Every day the roads are clogged with giant trucks and suvs clogging up every road around here and running into my gf car because people cant drive anymore.
Please add the most important part........ the insurance is required!!!
Tell me more how class 1 ebikes require an insurance. Their speed is capped.
Yeah and add the month and yearly stickers with DMV regulations make sure you add that too 😂 honestly I'd STFU if I was you before insurance starts poking around like ATF
@@KevKev1619 Also DOT Department Of Transportation already B.L.M. The Bureau of Land Management starting on ebikes rules possible parks and recreation . If California starts anything and money is to be made all other states will follow .
Lmfao next thing is what getting insurance to walk on the streets 😂😂😂
No insurance is required
You know the only country that requires license plates for bicycles?
North Korea
Do we really want to follow in the footsteps of a dictatorship?
Bicycles are freedom machines, lets keep it that way.
What's an ebike license gonna do?😅😅 this is so dumb
If there's a bike lane, it should be unlawful to to ride on sidewalk. Yes?
I'm not riding in a bike lane. Too close to the idiot drivers for me!
Gotta love the wolfpack of kids going 20mph and yelling get out of the way we got no brakes. I got leveled for not obeying.
Yeah, next time just obey. 😂😂😂😂
So I decided to take a drink every time this first one said "like", starting at the 0.24 mark. I passed out at the 0:30 mark.
Sounds like another parenting problem that fully grown responsible adults are taking another bite for. This country is toast.
Miss Manning if you use the word Like! one more time in my Courtroom! I will find you in Contempt! and Find you $100 Million Dollars! LIKE! WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?.
Who knows?
It's like a motor vehicle. I was driving next to a kid today on e dirt bike. While he was cussing out the driver he sidled , he almost wrecked
E bike revolution is coming
E-bikes really are so popular now
I'm a senior citizen who owns two e bikes just for me. Might get 3. I do what I want to.
Ebikes license is a very good idea, specially for the faster version.
Needing the government's permission is stupid. Needing a license to do anything? That's stupid.
It’s a free country 🇺🇸 stay in the bike lanes and hold in the stop signs and you will be good 👍
The hypocrisy of going Green. Going “green” all the way to the bank.
Honestly when I walk to the gym I sometimes need to walk in the bike lane because e-bikes takeover the sidewalks. There are bike lanes for a reason.
Sad to see lazy kids.
I don't think they need any new laws, just charge them when they break the laws we already have. Do you make a law that people can't rob a bank while wearing sandles, no you forget about that detail and charge the for robbing a bank. If they surrounded and stopped a vehicle, everyone involved should be charged with kidnapping, who cares about what they were riding!
Sure, they say it's about safety, but do they really think requiring a helmet is going to stop hooligans from carrying out their shenanigans?
Class 3 e-bikes need to be classified as a motorcycle. That means riders need a M1 or M2 license, registration, and insurance.
Right, like that solves the problem.. Have you seen how motorcyclists ride nowadays?!
@@bilala5260 There is an increased number of bicycle fatalities than motorcycle fatalities since 2020. E-Bike licenses can save lives.
@@bilala5260 some motorcyclists, Beavis. Calm down.
They really should. China is dumping their e-bikes onto US soil and saying "thanks for the money, you figure out the laws."
There’s already laws for speeding and reckless endangerment. Why is the government addicted to making more rules? (Rhetorical)
They need more rules. 10 year olds zooming thru parks with people walking is also not acceptable
that’s literally the parents fault not the laws fault? a 10 year old is not buying a fast e-bike theirself. the rules are 16+. most 16 year olds are fairly responsible enough to even learn to drive cars. why not a bike?
Why do parents buy their kids motor bikes? Get some pedal bikes. Another lost generation?
Like, like like like like like like
Stupid parents = Stupid kids
Don’t buy your kid 13000 watt ebike
I live in a small retirement town in Arizona. I dobt go to California in over 20 years, too many rules for me. Ebikes here=same laws as bicycles.
What’s the girls @?
It’s not an e bike issue its a cyclist issue they’re just making all these rules so they can eventually take more of our money
Ebikes will lose against a full grown gas vehicle. And in this hit and run age...they want to fu ck around and find out.
We have cars too idiot, and firearms sometimes...
This reminds me why i hate orange county. Car heavy infrastructure, wants to put licenses on cheap transportation
The problem with rules and regulations is that only law abiding will follow them. It's not going to stop the ones who are doing dangerous stunts and terrorizing motorists. We have a problem with street racing with cars and not one thing has changed with the new laws. We still have the same problem. Either you were raised properly or you weren't.
EVERYONE knows by now there are never any police or sheriff around to enforce ANY existing or new laws when it comes to juveniles on ebikes. I've seen unruly youths cursing out park rangers and every other type authority who attempts to "talk" to them about their behavior and recklessness on ebikes. And the age requirements mean nothing to the parents giving an elementary age child a motorized "bicycle" to ride these already dangerous streets with all the distracted drivers on the road! And forget believing these kids on ebikes come from an entitled upbringing. Credit cards just make it look like it. Like everything else credit does nowadays.
Kids getting bikes that cost as much as a car is so crazy to me. Their e-bike probably cost more than my first car 😂
Kids on bicycles (ebikes or regular bikes) are not a problem outside of the US. What are they doing differently?
Its a motor vehicle.
Who needs two abreast, when you only need one? 😂
It either needs to be a blanket rule for all two wheel bikes or not. These rules make no sense only for e-bikes. The same injuries and accidents can happen on regular bikes. Ultimately this is dumb in a context where using a bike is essential.
