I have just checked my sleeves of balls, in Australia. Callaway Supersoft and ERC soft made in Taiwan. Wilson Duo soft and Srixon Divide made in Indonesia. Bridgestone E12 made in USA. The other balls in my bag unfortunately I no longer have the sleeves or boxes from.
Like a commeted on a previous video. They dont use the same precision technology to make sure cores are centered on their supersofts. Only on their chrome line. Their rejection rates would likely be too high and they would have to raise the cost of the balls.
My weekend job is to go back and check the other balls now. I don’t think anything obvious stood out with them in the past (I think Jeff would’ve told me) but I’ll let you know! 👍🏌️♂️
It doesn’t look perfect, but definitely better than the older one… I also cut balls to check them out, I couldn’t find any issues on ProV1x (a whole dozen had perfect results in the salt water test) and TP5, but I cut an AVX with irregular cover thickness
I definitely think that new ball looks uneven, I’d be really cautious of buying them unless I was a beginner golfer not interested in how the ball could impact my game. Thanks for sharing
Brah, Callaway Chrome Tour is by far the best ball on the market hands down. ProV1 balloons way too much, and doesn’t check up like the Chrome does around the greens.
I played a round with Callaway Warbirds recently. I was not impressed with distance nor accuracy. Granted, those arent tour-level balls, but there are dozens of other good brands out there to try.
There are only 3 golf ball brands where the product to the Pros is EXACTLY the same as you buy off the shelf. The others have a production line just for their Pros where the quality control is far higher. Play Titleist, Taylor Made or Srizon. Do not buy anyone else's. Ever.
@@upclosegolf I was talking to my Pro who doesn't stock certain brands. He had been to a factory where they make the balls and that is where he found out about who gets what balls. I remember trying the Nike that Tiger was supposed to use. It was a rock. I thought there is no way Tiger is playing this ball. I was right.
@@michaelrandold4656 I would play them if they have been tested by the the PGA and R&A. I don't think all of the online golf balls have been permitted for competition play as the manufacturer has not submitted any to the governing body for testing. Personally I have played the Seed that i have found in the rough and it was okay. I also played a Vice Pro I found in the rough and didn't like it. But we are all different so my opinion is not worth any more than anyone else's.
Yeah I get that, but there are reasons why it’s a $2 ball and quality control isn’t one. It’d be like buying a cheap car and being ok with it having a poor quality engine, there’s gotta be some minimum expectations right? 👍🏌️♂️
What do you think?? 🤔 z🏌️♂️

They're ok for my game.
I'm a big Callaway guy but I've always played the Maxfli Straightfli balls.
The price is good and they play very well.
Yeah that’s a really good ball. They’re pushing the boundaries of the USGA but it’s working and that ball gets a lot of positive feedback! 🔥🏌️♂️
Well now that you've opened the portal...time to see if the Pro V1s or Bridgestone premiums measure up to what we pay for them. Have you looked?

@@high_alpine_golfer salt water test is garbage. SPIN IT
Aha - that explains why I slice my driver and keep thinning my chip shots through the green. And my 3-puts now make perfect sense. 😂
Yep. You can officially blame the ball now! 😂🏌️♂️

Good enough for my golf swing.
The dimples on a golf ball aren't symmetrical. Take a look at the dimples along the cut edge, it could have something to do with that.
I’ll go back and have a look thanks 👍🏌️♂️
I must have missed it, are these brand new, and where did he get them?
Yes new balls, got them from my local pro shop 👍🏌️♂️
I rhink you need to buy a sleeve of everything currently on sale and cut all 3 in each sleeve to really see. Expensive exercise though....
This would be a great exercise to do - I might have to start taking donations to my fund! 👍🏌️♂️
Interesting
Have cut open the Lazarus 3 piece ball yet??
No not yet - any good? 👍🏌️♂️

Yes you’re right there’s lots of other great brands people don’t even think about! 👍🏌️♂️
That one you cut open is definitely bigger at the top end! I am not buying Callaway again. 😱
Yeah I didn’t think it was my eyes being funny it’s uneven right?! 👍🏌️♂️
I don’t have issues hitting these balls. My game stinks enough that a super premium golf ball makes little difference.
Ha ha! I know that feeling well! 😂🏌️♂️
THIS is why you should use the Check-Go to spin the ball. Salt water does not work.
Is that the ball spinner machine? 👍🏌️♂️
its what happens hen you get your product produced out of the country
It does seem that way! 👍🏌️♂️
Im done wit cslaway
The distorted trajectory could actually help low handicappers bringing it back online
Ha ha! Yes you're right - this could be used as a marketing strategy! 😂🏌

What about Vice Pro and the Seed SD 01? I just bought a dozen of each to try out, as Ive had disappointing results with Callaways longevity

I would not take the chance on Callaway balls, 🏌️♂️👍🇨🇦
Very sensible! 👍🏌️♂️🇬🇧
No wonder I hit a hard draw, lol
Ha ha! Always the balls fault! 😂🏌️♂️
Get yourself a micrometer on try to measure it.
Great idea! 👍🏌️♂️
Supersoft is likely made by a 3rd party.
Yeah I think they’re made abroad in Taiwan 👍🏌️♂️
Do you really expect a $2 golf ball to be as precise as a $5 golf ball? If that were the case, who would buy the $5 golf ball😳

I’m never buying Callaway again! 💩🏌️♂️
Says the 28 handicapper 🤣
@@losova7543 Maybe that's why he's 28 handicap.
