Pro tip that I noticed after a long long time: trees actually prohibit tower ballistas from firing...make sure your towers have no trees around when facing the enemy
It's pretty cool how you're attacking from distance and using other tactics. I used to simply send all my troops on top of enemy troops and pray to Mars
Man, I love you for Shogun 2, especially for Hattori campaign, but never thought I would see you playing my beloved game from childhood. Ceasar 3 Impossible Battles, that should be a thing
I think it was a bit cheeky for Caesar to demand oil while his troops were attacking your city!
and have EACH INDIVIDUAL *SOLDIER HAVE A FUCKING TRUMPET*
Just like the United States.

I love those nonstopping horns. It even does make sense in game

You are soldiers of Tarentum! No matter what comes through that gate you will stand your ground!
To tell the truth it's Syracusae...
I held off Caesar for years on Lugdinum...what a joy it was to drive them off over and over!!!
That 1 Prefect chaising the legionairs away at the end too funny!
I didn’t think Caesar was able to be repelled. Wow!
That poor prefect at 8:00 went full Leroy Jenkins
LEEEEROOOOOOOOOOYYYY
JEEEEEEEEENKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINS
Yeah but the prefect 30 seconds later totally avenged him

Then you win the mission and Caesar praises you as if nothing happened :)
Wake up babe, Augustus mod just dropped, you can build 10 javalins legions now!
When you repell his next invasion instead of "the emperors respect" a bugged out message appears..
8:31 That Prefect have my respect!!! xD
Would be funny if a neighboring province is warring with Caesar, and requests aid from you...

caesar 3 was the 2nd game i ever played. i got the demo on a pc gamer CD.
The actor who provided the voice of Caesar was amazing. Though we didn't see his face, I picture the actor who played Tiberius in Ben Hur movie.
With so much horn sound, you know that clown army has arrived
I didn't even know you could be invaded by Caesar on this game. It happened to me on Caesar IV, but never on III...
I always got rekt by it on the 3 :( Hated Caesar IV for not having indigenous.
this reminds me of an old game, Pharaoh. is it by the same developer?
Yes. Caesar 3 was released before Pharaoh.

Duh
Try not to imagine how many times this repeated itself in real life history. Volound could practically crown himself Caesar now.
I consider Syracuse the best city to destroy Caesar's legions. Most effective defensive positions.
Doesn't he send an even larger force later? I think it gets to like 10 legions as max or something, or maybe I am remebering wrong.
OOOO OOOO OOOO OOO OOO OOO
horn noises
*jazz music starts*
2 Caesars take the dislikes
That Prefect was then promoted to Perfect
I did this with stack of wall and ballista... success but didnt remember what happenned next
If my memory serves me right, this is the syracuse mission
yes, classic

People still need food in times of war
I never seen Caesar legions on that mass before.
They usually sent 12 or so
the final wave caesar sends is 6 legions for 96 men.
I think it's unfair how your enemy can deploy more infantry than your allowed to.

I thought the lions would attack enemies.
they do, you lead them into armies with roads. ive done it in full scenario videos.
Why is Caesar attacking your city anyway?
low favour.
