The mark of Cain sounds good and it's kind of wink to Zorro which is apart of Batman's origin
so instead of "where's Nightwing?" now we have "Where's Batgirl?"
Wow, that is a truly ambitious story. Perhaps this would be better suited as an HBO Max miniseries rather than a movie, just to give all of the characters and plot points better room to breathe.

I really like this concept. As for a title, since you've got characters like Question and Deadman playing major roles, I'd drop the Batman part of the title all together and make it a Justice League story. Might seem weird when Batman's the only founding League member but plenty of JLU episodes were the same way. No idea what the subtitle would be though.
Yeah and I wonder about another alternative version of the Justice league where they are monsters as a love letter to the universal monsters
Just say it’s Justice League Dark, since there really aren’t enough mainstays to call it Justice League
@@gechoman44iwantahippo I disagree, Deadman is really the only one who fits the Justice League Dark motif in this story, and like I mentioned earlier several JLU episodes had few, if any, founding league members, so I think it could still work.
Honestly, I'd still probably go with "Batman: Mark of Cain," but another potential title could be "Batman: Live by the Sword..." A bit less plot specific, but it seems a good title for a movie about assassins and retains the Biblical cool factor. But, hey, it's your movie. 🤷♂️
Agreed. Mark of Cain sounds like a damn good title. Though since so many other characters are tied to it, I'd probably make it a Justice League title. Like "Justice League: The Mark of Cain" or something.
@@Gr4veM1nd I thought the same thing at first, but most of the characters are Bat-Family, so I think they could get away with filing it under "Batman." For instance, Booster Gold on the Watchtower is involved in Batman and Harley Quinn, but that's still a Batman movie. I think given the place in the post Justice League part of the timeline they're playing in, it just makes sense that the League is referenced or show up at some time, even if it's not per say a JL movie. However, I see what you're saying.
This is absolutely fantastic. Now that I think of it, I would LOVE to see THIS in the DCAU! Maybe you could write this in a script.
Also, my favorite part was James in the bathtub. Totally Hilarious!
Dang, that was amazing! I would watch the heck out of that and if I had Bruce Wayne levels of cash, I would fund its production right now! As for the title, Mark of Cain was the first thing that came to my mind too.

...I dunno, if his last view of her was watching her get stabbed to death by her rapist in the arms of her beloved just after her daughter chopped off his own hand... I mean I guess there wasn't a way for Steel's creepy line to not be creepy, but if his reaction to that whole scenario was "gosh that corpse is sexy" there is something deeply wrong with him.
Not to mention "slice me off a piece of that woman who was, in fact, sliced to death."

Lol. Yeah, I noticed that too and was glad you already mentioned it. However, like you say, Sarge Steel seemed like a shady enough character in Batman & Harley Quinn that Shiva dying in this may not actually be a continuity problem, but that would be quite messed up.

It’s the same mic Ted has always had, it’s just halfway across the room in the past. I told him to “put the microphone inside your mouth this time” and BAZINGA.
@@dcauwatchtower And it turns out having batteries inside your shotgun mic AND your phantom powered recorder really messes things up. No batteries = much better
I think you did a great job! I didn't think it would be a big movie at first, but now I feel like there's a huge chunk of the DCAU missing.
I don't even care if this isn't officially canon, it's canon to me!
Now this is one hell of a Batman story...
To go with "Return of the Joker," "Mask of the Phantasm," and "Mystery of the Batwoman," I'm gonna have to go with something in the "Blank of the Blank" format.

I highly recommend the audio version of 52. Especially the Question storyline. It's well done and heartbreaking. Well worth the listen even if you didn't like the result. There are more Justice League and individual DC audio performances that would really surprise you. You guys are amazingly amazing.

@@andrewcozzini8259 I think there’s certainly room for her to take on either identity, but not sure her Batgirl could exist while Barbara is still in the role
@@Ted-Kendrick Yeah, definitely. Perhaps sometime after Barbara retires following the ROTJ flashback, around the time of "Legacies of the DCAU" as a kinda unofficial Batgirl successor, like the one from the Beyond comics.
I would like to imagen she eventually became orphan in this continuity, but leaves gotham later on. ( maybe before or after the flashback of ROTJ ). Where she goes to china and becomes the batman there. ( similar to how it was in the comics ). She goes by either black bat or batman. Which in term would explains why she isn't around in batman beyond.

I’d just call it “Batman: Nana Parbat” or “Justice League Dark: Nanda Parbat,” but it is pretty hard to come up with a good name for this.
Also, if this was real, Deathstroke better be voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson doing his Shredder voice. That is the perfect voice for him and the DCAU has some of the best voices out there for its characters, so this would be a necessity to me.

"That lady's trying to kill me!" sounds too verbose and emotional for Cassandra. I'm used to the version who barely talks lol. But she's my favorite non-Batman character, so I'd watch this movie.

Two things:
First, ARGUS in the arrowverse was not primarily tasked in dealing with the league of assasins. They handled a whole breadth of international affairs and while they knew knew about the league, they never even interacted with them.
Second, Deadman didn't kill Devilray in revenge. It was an accident. He was trying to save Wonder Woman.
Wow; bravo WTDB! 👏 Leave it to you guys to make a mountain out of a mole hill and yet make it this compelling. I'd definitely be down for this as an animated Batman feature film. Top marks!

At 40:55, is that a slip up referring to them as the "League (not Society) of Shadows" or has Ra's organization changed its name in this? If it's the former, that's totally cool, I do it all the time when talking about the DCAU incarnation and always have to correct myself.

I love the story pitch! It reminds me a lot of the "Red Robin Collision" story arch, especially the last half of the story where Ra's Al Ghul sends ninja assassins all over Gotham to kill everyone Batman ever loved.
I personally love that story arc, though we didn't intentionally go into this idea intending to reference that one.

Very entertaining pitch even I who isn't that knowledgeable of most of the character's involved. The info dump was enough. It's just that the story is kinda a little crowded with the cast and plot points. Instead of focusing on the batfamily vs the league of assassin's etc. it became more of Justice League affair. I could see it as a two parter but there has to be a cliff hanger on the middle.
So this needs to made into a minimum a legacies run
