You can tell Steve and Karl are really good friends. They stayed in contact after they all went their separate ways and somehow got along despite being so different.
I think I like Merchant the most out of the three. Dunno why. He's just... adorkable. Whenever I watch anything with him, Gervais and Karl, I always watch his reactions for some reason. It's odd.
Personally I think Stephen merchant is always handsome his is practically the perfect guy, he's handsome, extremely talented and in my opinion the funniest man on the planet and he's very polite I would definitely love to meet him in my life
Good point, but the masses tend not to enjoy watching Steven Weinburg et al in scientific discussion on TV. Some of us do because we find it interesting; but the 'celebrity' I was comparing Karl to was, essentially, anyone else you'd see in The Sun. Kim Kardassian-esque individuals. Intelligent minds have so much more to offer the world in terms of technological advances, rather than spending their time on television chat shows.
Abe Lincoln was only 6'4" (only!), and my older brother is 6'6". Steve is 6'7". Still, being surrounded by tall people myself, I am used to feeling small, at an actually-taller-than-average 5'8" (same height as Ricky Gervais, fact fans!) .
The 3 of them combined are the funniest I think they should add warwick Davis to the 3. He is a funny guy as well and knows good humor, especially from Carl Pilkington. What I see is Ricky telling a good joke on his own the funniest thing and If he could keep a straight face during the interviews and tell a few with them, which he can, because of his funny quick witted humor and Steve as well with a side of Warwick and steve laughing at Carl's unfiltered ideas. Everyone of these guys are funny and continue to make people laugh. Some good new idea to help them continue on because I would love to see these guys again in the future.
I don't think it's so much that it will work for anyone even some straight guys, I think the majority of people for whom that line will work for will be straight guys, myself included.
No, that's the point is that it is ridiculous that his journey to fame has even existed.. He has gained fame through ignorance and stupidity - Gervais himself has said that it's "fame without respect".. The kind of celebrity we need is the ones which valuable things to offer - you can say he offers entertainment - but only through us laughing AT him.. Experts in science and medicine and philosophy are the kinds of people who should have the spotlight on them - not Karl Pilkington.
You misunderstand the point. You are laughing AT Karl, other comedians such as Gervais work far harder to write comedy that you laugh WITH. He is the kind of person that deserves fame and he is the kind of celebrity we want - as celebrities are role models. You want a role model who hates the world, has incredibly fascist views on eugenics and is an idiot? Yeh, he's funny to laugh at - not someone to admire though.
Speak for YOURself. Why does he need to be famous for you to enjoy those shows? He can stay relatively unknown and not a celebrity and still produce the same comedy. The only thing him becoming a 'celebrity' would achieve is having a great influence over people which is a terrible idea. Karl is lazy, disgustingly fascist in his views and again - an idiot. You do not need celebrity for you to enjoy laughing at him. Whether they should or shouldn't be - they do become role models as celebrities.
You can tell Steve and Karl are really good friends. They stayed in contact after they all went their separate ways and somehow got along despite being so different.
Thinking back, Karl's journey to fame has been so pure and innocent. This is the kind of celebrity we need.

Would you like to meet Steven Merchant? I know him. Wink Wink
I think Stephen merchant is very pleased with Stephen merchant
In that other thumbnail "what not to say during a a best man speech" he looks like Tim Roth!
I use Karl too when I pick up women. Works every time.
I misunderstood the title at first
When you're related to a giant, it makes you feel like you're three feet tall...*musical interlude*
Thank you for the compliment :)

So awkward.

it's the beard, totally the beard. to me though, his eyes are a bit funny, and his nostrils, he sort of looks, asian or something.
