I think one of the reason of this show's success is that they don't overuse jokes. I can NEVER predict when the next punchline will be. Even the ways Bocchi breaks down is different each time (she shakes, she screeches, she explodes, she turns into a 3D model and crashes into a wall)
as someone who used to play bass, bass guitars and their strings are extremely expensive so them being broke is relatable which just makes this scene more hilarious

Being a bassist is a vicious cycle of not having money to live on because you had to spent it all on debt, maintenance and/or alcohol, asking for money, and not being able to pay off debt in time. As a bassist myself I know this cycle well😅

@@nokia.s3350 I have a bass guitar and an electric guitar. Aside from a standard bass being more expensive than a usual electric guitar, the strings and amplifiers are even more expensive. Electric guitar strings will cost me Php 500. Bass guitar strings cost around Php 2,500. My electric guitar was Php 17,000 while my bass was around Php 30,000. Yikes. My amplifier for electric guitar was around Php 6,000 while my bass guitar amplifier was for Php 10,000. No wonder bassists are poor LOL. Not to mention, the pedals which I don't even have.

Funnily enough you realize that kikuri is poor due to her performance since as she mentioned she constantly destroys the stage and some parts of the bar with the fact that her destroying things seems to be a norm. Not too mention buying large quantities of cheap alcohol with the most expensive she buys being alcohol in a can.
Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken kinda starts like that but Rimuru eventually becomes the average isekai protagonist. It's very cool while it lasts tho, it's great reading his pov and all his anxieties being on maximum level during the fights, and then reading the enemy's pov and they're at constant break point trying to keep up.
