I can definitely attest to the 0 filter thing. I happen to work next door to a kindergarten school and I sometimes pop in to see the headteacher for work related matters (sometimes casual talk too). This one time I went in I was suddenly greeted by two sisters who were stoked to see me for some reason. One of them immediatly grabbed my hand and led me to her paper which she had yet to draw on before pouncing on me, effectively forcing me to carry her whilsts her sister was begging for a turn as well. Meanwhile the headteacher was trying her best to distract them to allow me to “escape”. Mind you I’ve only shown up to there like four times up until that moment and spend like an hour at best over there so these kids barely know me. Needless to say it was bith cute and hilarious so I didn’t really mind lol,

The only way my mother was able to coax me usually was to convince a principal or someone else to let me into the class where my cousin (of the same age) was and sit with him. It would be cool if life were like an RPG where you could just go up to every person you see and they'll give you time, but the truth is that they'll probably just complain later on Twitter about you "creeping on them" or being the most annoying part of their day out. With that sort of social context, I think people with social phobias shouldn't be so hard on themselves, because the other people outside are either fellow socialphobics or total anitsocial nutcases.

Its normal for 5 year olds to be more social than older people. 5 is an age before youre traumatized by saying the wrong thing and having to deal with stupid drama. That trauma is a massive contributing factor to why people grow up with terrible social skills.
