Another drive home in a bargain vehicle that is in sketchy condition hoping you get to a gas station and the parts store. AAR at it's finest. I think that truck is a great buy no matter where you live and a real bargain in a lot of places.

Yeah he's lucky that back brake did not burst into flames because with the heat and that brake fluid being highly flammable it could of been real bad I know people who had that happen to them the brake fluid got on the hot brakes burst into flames and by the time the fire trucks come the cars were gone up in flames but I'm sure he will learn one day but he's real lucky it did not happen with that truck.

Stay far away from those cheap glue on covers. They will bust all of the mounting tabs that support the bezel, radio, and headlight switch. I learned that the hard way when I had to replace the heater core on my '97. I had to fiberglass repair all of the damage that cover caused. Just bite the bullet and buy the Mopar replacement for $300 and it's done right.

To find a rust free module fully optioned out plus having the 5.9 which by the way was an option on those trucks they usually came with the 6 cylinder engine or the 5.7 318. I know you're already aware of all this considering I've seen your instagram. But definitely don't tow with that bumper it me be ok at first but you will bend it after a couple of toes. A 1500 5 speed was a rare find when new. Now they're a needle in a haystack. I'd love to manual swap my 97 318, but the cost doesn't justify the means.

      @@BoringIntrovert1982 I bought my
Truck working as a detail guy at a dealership in 2004. They gave the guy $1200.00 for it. That’s all I paid, she still runs strong and looks good. Yah the truck was ordered. It even has the window sticker still in the glove box. I drove it daily til 2012. Never let me down. Now she comes out of the garage every now and then.

@@90scarguy Dang! You scored on that deal! I paid $3,000 for mine in '08 from an older gentleman in NC who "didn't need an extra truck". She only had 87k on her then. At 225k now, she's still my daily. All original powertrain.

Word of advice, if having a idling issue, replace, intake air control valve at the very back of the throttle body.

nice pick! Check out LMC trucks for the best OEM dash replacements, they use plastic better than OEM and it doesn't go over the broken plastic it replaces it. Also check Lone Star Mopar channel for in depth how to replace!

    I love the 99-02 ram sports. I have a 99 with the 5.2 and 5 speed manual.
Realistically, that truck will end up needing one of everything lol. Good luck with this project!

For the falling headliner, 3m makes a spray adhesive that works great to hold it back up. I did it to my Chrysler 300 and it hasn’t fallen since
