Wow! I'm blown away by this cake! I grew up with Royal Copenhagen as so many others from Denmark (it was passed down from my late grandmother), and this is just amazing!
That cake is probably more expensive than a Copenhagen plate. How exquisite and surprised by the knowledge of our life's most desired and simultaneously possible treasures we can, with work & diligence & care acquire from nature. It was truly enlightening to read your comments, really, notes for us all. Thank you .From a butter lover. Ultimately, how do we have the joy and love from others but through, mostly unknowingly, via art and sharing. I really appreciate what you shared.
@@zyli8142 I think you'd have to start with white butter. We don't realize that a lot of butter has food dye added to make it look like we expect it to. In the summer, cows are eating fresh grass and wildflowers which have a lot of beta carotene, which results in naturally yellow butter. But in the winter when they're eating dried hay, the butter often comes out white. So if you want to make buttercream icing in white-- or blue-- you try to find naturally white butter that hasn't had yellow food coloring added.
I have no talent, skill or patience to do cake decorating but I like watching this video because it's relaxing 😀 Kudos to you for the great job on the cake design.
Don't be scared to try it. I've been a cake decorator for 40+ years and have never regretted anything I tried, because it's how I learned. And now I have something new to try - this cake! :-)

The cakes on this channel are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen! I love that they are not gimmicky and showcase real cake decorating art. Like it’s interesting to see a cake that looks like a dinosaur, but what the decorator here does is magnificent!

Didn't know there was a cake like this! I'm danish and I love classic ceramic tableware, it's so rustic and nostalgic to me as my granny loved collecting it. So awesome to see that there's a cake made in its honour, and so happy it was made with buttercream and not fondant.
Royal Copenhagen blue is my favorite China pattern since I was young. I’m 65 and still can’t face the cost, since even used pieces are more than I can justify. I’m enchanted by this cake design in that I can enjoy watching you make it without paying anything. You are a great artist. Can one buy one of these cakes for a wedding?

This is beautiful and it's giving me flashbacks. My mother was a baker and one of the most nightmarish projects she took on was a MASSIVE wedding cake heavily decorated with Austrian lace. She'd already done the fine detail work, but then everybody had to chip in to help with the filler sections. It was a full eight hours of nonstop, slow and careful piping with a 00 tip. One of us would work until muscle fatigue made us stop, then the next one stepped in. As the day went on, we'd hit our wall faster than last time, so the breaks would get shorter. The next day our arms felt like we'd hit the weights way too hard at the gym.

my great grandmother had a China set, all of which were beautiful, white with blue pieces, that resemble the cake. I always loved those pieces, but wasn't able to claim any after her passing. thank you for bringing the same happiness I had seeing Mamaw's china pieces with the beautiful cakes. 💙

So beautiful! I never seen such a beautiful cake icing done, with a steady hand and every detail made perfectly! I love those pretty blue colors too. I use to take a cake decorating class and I loved it, I actually still have the icing tips, off set spatuala's, a wire cake cutter to level out the top of the cake, and my sister gave me this pretty ceramic cake stand she found at an antique store. I think you inspired me to make some pretty cakes again... I just might share with my friends and family! 😁😄🍰🎂
