I was thinking the same exact thing. He's got gorilla hands and he's like a bull in a china shop. A simple rubber mat would have solved all those scratches on the top lid.
Did you break any of the clips at the front of the laptop ? I have it on good authority that you need to open up the case from the back FIRST, working to the front.
Hey Ido, Great explanation, Just 1 doubt. I have a T480 non touch screen display model, Thinkpad. Is it possible to replace the screen with a touch-screen display and enable multi-touch gestures? PS: I couldn't find anything on the search engine.
You could completely remove the screen and cover and cable to the motherboard and replace it with a touch model. I't a lot of work - maybe 2 hrs if you have done it before. I would sell the one you have and buy the one you want on ebay. You'd have to find the touch screen on ebay or find a complete dead laptop with a usable display and touch.
Please do remind me the converter's name... I can't find the NVMe converter... I have purchased the same M.2 SN750SE, but i can't insert in my laptop lenovo x240... The same you have shown here... I tried many attempts to purchased the converter in Amazon but none is found... So i am very disappointed for this situation.... Please share me the link of the said converter
Followed this and broke a clip. Anybody else watching this please check Google ThinkPad 480 Manual first (page 100). It shows you how to disable the built-in battery and remove the case safely using your fingers instead of a spudger. Fortunately, mine still works fine
You always break a plastic clip or loose a screw when opening a laptop case. And it never makes a difference. No need to pull the battery - you'll just loose the settings and maybe screw up your TPM to boot. Wear a wrist strap if you are handling memory or M2 cards.
I'm starting to learn more about computers than I ever have before all because I want a thinkpad
Recommended. I own one
You are in right track.
Good video, simple and fast!
Thanks Brother you helped me a lot ❤😊
So, since we are using the SATA port, is our NVMe SSD limited to SATA speeds or is it somehow bypassed?
Thanks for the video!

The table has a thin sheet of plastic on top of it. Any scratches occurred elsewhere.
Where is the compatibility list of nvme M.2 models that work correctly with lenovo T480? Thank you so much
Thanks, this helped me to upgrade the ssd
So any speed Nvme pcie drive with the same slot as shown should work?
What specifications does the equipment that I disassemble have and what generation does it belong to? Greetings
The way you opened the front side made me cry. The front should not be pryed, you just have to pry the back and sides and it will open easily!

I thought you had to disconnect the internal battery before removing/installing RAM?
You right!

@Ido Shmuel Hi, if I need to add NVME M.2 and not remove HDD is it possible or there's space for NVME M.2
Yes... T480 has a WWAN port where u can put an m.2 nvme.
@@computergeek3407 thanks bro
can i use HDD along with SSD ? like 256 GB SSD + 512 GB hard disk ???
same question !
I brought mine to a shop and they said no. You have to choose between a sata ssd or an nvme
You can use a regular 2.5" HDD and a small m.2 SATA SSD in the WWAN port (2242 length instead of 2280) and it will work fine.
yes, note than the first SSD you should add on WWan port, finally the second HHD you can add on the normal place.
What is the exact ssd link plz

Can it use 2 SSD?
No
You can use an m2 SATA SSD (2242 instead of 2280) in the WWAN port and it's bootable.
