Round brushes scare me ever since I had to cut one out of my hair as a child. They are my sworn enemy for life. Love that we got multiple techniques!
oh my god, I had the exact same experience today, but thanks to a very patient dad and lots of conditioner I didn't have to cut it off. I still ripped out a lot of hairs tho and will never use those things ever again :D

I cut my own curtain bangs today, and when I was gonna style it with a round brush, it got stuck, but thankfully I got a hack to detangle it which I eventually did after 2 hours

I have watched nearly all of Brads videos during quarantine on the off chance my girlfriend decided she wants to change up her hair. As a straight dude never into hair, I absolutely LOVE this channel and feel confident that I will be adequate enough to not haveto buy her a wig if I get to do her hair.

I’ve never had bangs before (I’m almost 21) and just got curtain bangs on Thursday. I loved them while my hairstylist cut and styled them. I had a meltdown as soon as I got home an hour after and sobbed my eyes out in front of the mirror. Anyone else with curtains bangs who is lazy or doesn't want to use heat on their hair, I recommend using hair rollers for your bangs. I put medium/big hair rollers on my curtain bangs on 90% dried hair, either overnight (if you are okay sleeping on your back) or just like an hour before leaving the house. It definitely doesn't look perfect like if you style it but will be much better than just having those lifeless pieces of hair on your eyes the whole day.
Where did you get them from ?
@@honeyb1095 All pharmacies/ cosmetic stores that sell more than makeup usually have them (like Boots in the UK) and you can probably find them in bigger grocery stores or retail shops (Wilko, Tesco extra, probably Target in the US etc). I would ask for self adhesive plastic hair rollers (in medium size, or whatever you prefer).
Do you use foam rollers? I'm seriously lazy but really want curtain bangs
@@sstjohn96 I use velcro rollers and usually roll them away from my face. So that the rollers end up on top of my temple. And when you put them on, you should have your hair brushed well and also kind of tighten the hair in between by dragging the roller through the piece of hair so that it is straightened and then start rolling tightly (I don't know how to explain it properly, sorry).
Rollers like just as good as using heat but they talk longer and can be trick thanks for the tips!

Mannequin heads these days and their impossible-to-attain beauty standards! 🤣 If you really want to laugh, take a look at the Silk or Lace wig website and compare the difference between the mannequin head selling the brand new hair vs. the "lightly worn" mannequin (aka single mother of 3, getting her three school-aged kids through zoom school and billing 60 hours a week as a corporate lawyer to pay off her student loans and maintain her wine habit, lol).

my favorite way i’ve always styled longer bangs like that is to straighten the hair upwards, almost backwards, and curl it towards the back of your head. with the same technique he showed in the video. gives the same flip but more volume and stays out of your eyes more!

That’s my go to method! Flat iron up and back so it has a lot of volume and it’s swoopy! I’ll hit it with some light hold hairspray or sea salt dry shampoo texturizing spray to give it a little more hold out of my face and a more 70s punk look. I’ve tried styling them for years with a blow dryer but for some reason I just cannot get it right the same way I do with the flat iron!
I’ve already regretted cutting my hair this way, but I tried the first technique and it works perfectly. Looks very cute now, thank you so much!

I cut myself curtain bangs last night, realised I had wavy/ curly hair. Dried them and they looked ridiculous😂 and I’m honestly too lazy to style my hair everyday so I just cut it into a shag/ mullet style hair and it now looks amazing cause I don’t have to do anything if I don’t want to 🤷🏻♀️

If you have blunt, straight across bangs do this with a blow dryer...
Blow the hair to the left, then the right then I blow underneath for volume then put it in place and blow downwards from the top. Works everytime.

you can use hair rollers, i usually leave them overnight with semi-dry hair and they work just fine
