    Thank You James 👍
My first VP70Z no. 8375X was my first 9mm owned early 1980's, sold '99. I finally filled the empty spot in my empty shooting heart last month my second VP70Z no. 8166X . Your H & K reference library is finally complete with your indepth analysis of a 9mm icon. Excellent presentation 👍👍
    New Hampshire.

The VP70 was my department issue pistol when I was in the RPD.

Glad to finally get an in-depth video on the VP70. The VP70Z is my first HK handgun though it doesn't see the range much due to it's trigger but it's still a neat piece.

    .
I was a young "gun nut" back in the 80's
I remember these... and the stock.
    I loved them.

I’d love to see a video on how to add the Wolfe spring to decrease the weight of the trigger pull.

Always wanted one ever since playing Resident Evil 2 on the old PlayStation.

32:15 Is the trigger guard mounted type called "german type"?
Since Colt copied the Luger magazine release button, would be fair to call it "german type".

Thank you very much for such an educational video. I just got one for personal carry. Do you happen to know how many vp70z were manufactured? I can’t find it anywhere. Thank you.

      The information I have is a little less than 24,000 of the VP70Z, 400 of the VP70Z in 9mm x21 and a little more than 3200 VP70M.

James, please follow up with a Part II , "Inside VP70 Z" video. Dissect and discuss the slide, the recoil buffer and trigger mechanism. Any of your insights on smoothing and lightening the trigger pull. Your comments on installing a Wolff 5.5 lb striker spring would delight all VP70Z devotees. 👍👍

The next time I have one in, I may do a short look inside video on the Instagram and Facebook channels, but sadly, unless a company produces a lightened spring kit for the trigger return spring and two springs associated with the firing pin assembly, there is nothing that can be done to lighten the pull.

do you have a firing pin for sale by any chance?

    I want one anyway, but.
A blowback 9 Luger with something to bleed the gases because 9 is too powerful.
