    Great vid. Thankyou! I get frustrated with some RUclips tutorials where people over explain, digress or philosophise. You pack a lot into a vid with explanations that are clear, concise and practical. I learnt more in a 19 min vid than i might have in some others twice the length.

    During the explanation of the Rolling Edit Tool, to get your clips precisely where you want it you mentioned trim by clicking on the letter 'T'. I'm using PP 2019 now version 14.0 and the 'T' takes me to the Type Tool instead. Is there another tool to get to the trim mode in order to see the dual footage on screen like your tutorial? Thanks.

    Hey are you now editing in 4k? And if so, did you upgrade your graphics card, RAM, CPU, monitor, and all of the other changes to bring your hardware up to the task? I was just reading about minimal requirements for 4K and depending on what you already have, this can be a pricy little move. I've thought in the past until TV is broadcast in 4K, why bother. Given the enormous storage requirements compared to HD, I continue to wrestle with the justification for 4K. I realize it's coming, but then 1920 x 1280 still looks pretty darned good.
    I think other webcasters are at least shooting in 4K, but uploading in plain old HD. I'm not even sure that's such a good idea, because given the usual expiration on technology webcasts is probably 6 months, is it justified?
    Hold the phone, did I just give you an idea for an upcoming Tutvid? :-)

    • @tutvid
      @tutvid  7 лет назад +1

      I do have plans for talking about lightweight 4k video editing. The biggest key for me thus far as been to edit from a Solid State Hard Drive and archive my footage on cheaper, larger optical drives when the project is complete. Try editing any video from an SSD and you'll see some difference. It's almost like magic. Big CPU, RAM, and VRAM always help too.
      Yes, this would be a good and interesting video idea. Dually noted! 🍻

    i alway was very unhappy with premiere pro so far i even had to force myself to work with it just for the sake of having done it everytime i fall back just to work in after effects altogether or sony vegas the limited colorrange output is just one part of the pain in the ass with premiere but thats all being said im looking forward to everything tutvids gonna throw at me about premiere if anyone on this planet has a remote chance of getting me to start premiere again one day its him :) so i accept the challange. my first question tho would be since no one ever was able to answer that every output raw or encoded produced limited colorspace like this 15-235 and not the full range rgb 0-255 you know what i mean even explicit telling output formats to use that color range produce a result which you can analyze through various other tools that provide a colorscope to see that the black and whites are not where they are supposed to be leaving a washed out product
    it kind of reminds me of a problem i once had with photoshop it want possible to work in ycmk and get all colors to work as they should there were some limitation that werent even there in t he print side of things only photoshop produced that problem its more much more then 10 years ago so the problem is long gone now but back to pemiere or maybe someone who is reading this knows about the colorrange problem all i ever wanted is full range rgb and premiere never was able to deliver . thats just one but the first things that comes to mind where premiere fails but for now enough arguments against premiere after all we are here to learn about premiere :) even if i end up never using it knowledge is power (c) someone important :)
