thanks for putting up this video for the entire world to see!! just today I got interested in making things like these, hopefully i'll start making some soon, and I eventually found your video. I simply love all the ways in this video!
Hello! Welcome to the world of resin, it's a fun one. You will either being using epoxy stickers OR resin, not both together. You can not use glitter and 3D objects with epoxy stickers. You can use pretty design stickers with resin and you would lay them down onto your bezel or blank first, and then apply the resin over the top. Here is the process if you were making a pendant using a blank or bezel as the base (and using resin):
Hi! I am not sure what you mean by "profile" but the paper I would suggest is a heavier weight matte white card stock - something between 80 and 100 lbs. Do not use paper with a shine or gloss coating. To glue the paper to the bezel, I would suggest a white craft glue such as Nunn Design glue or Crafters Pick. If you are going to seal the image, I would suggest Nunn Sealant - 3 coats if using resin. I think it is a lovely idea to make a memory necklace :)
Hi! Since you were asking about the profile in regards to a picture, I did not know if you meant the actual profile of his face (straight on or to the side), the profile of a pendant you want to use, the profile the dome, etc... I would suggest a low profile dome since the higher the dome, the greater the magnification and possibility of image distortion.
lay down an image (either glue an image in place, use a decorative sticker (not the epoxy stickers), etc.), if need be, seal your image, glue any 3D objects in place, mix up your resin, add some glitter to the mixing cup of resin, pour your resin onto your blank or into your bezel, let cure. That is a very very simplified list of steps and there are other things you need to do in the overall process. My best suggestion is to watch our videos on using resin on our Mixed Media Techniques page.
Hi I just saw this video I have the glass dome but I need to get the sheets to use with the dome do you sale the sheets which I can cut out the design to put in the dome thank you so much for your videos you are a great teacher
We don't have any of these aluminum stamping blanks left unfortunately. Some of the paper collage sheets we carry can be useful for projects like this: beadaholique.com/search?q=collage%20sheet&_=pf&pf_t_product_type=0-Product-Type%3APaper%20Supplies
I LOVE ALL your videos. I just learned about resin 2 days ago. So I'm new! I want to make pendants and earrings using stickers, different color glitters and so forth. Do I put the stickers on the outside, or inside the resin? Do I put the glitter in first, then put other 3d items in, or the items in first, then the glitter? I'm so lost and confused. It's really frustrating. Ugghhhhh! PLEASE HELP!
What profile would you recommend for a picture? And what type of paper should I use and glue thanks. I want to make a memory necklace of my grandpa who passed away.
Tell what paper to use and the press (jet or laser) that the picture under Lisa Pavelka didn't become wet and paint hasn't begun to flow! Thanks for your answer🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
What a great video! So helpful! I haven't been able to find low profile domes anywhere. I prefer using the glass domes but want very little magnification. I looked on your site for low profile and couldn't find any. Would they still magnify?
Even a low profile dome should magnify to some degree. I can let our inventory department know that there has been a request for low profile domes so that they can keep an eye out for them when ordering.
You can get the supplies featured in our videos on Beadaholique . com's website. The links for the supplies in this video are located in the video description underneath this video.
To use 2-part resin you would just carefully and slowly drip (one drip at a time) the resin onto the center of the blank. It will spread out on its own and then the surface tension on the edges will keep it in place. Be careful to not dome it too high, otherwise your dome will collapse and spill the resin over the sides. I would recommend Ice Resin for this project.
Can the diamond glaze be used as and adhesive and by that I mean when facing a photo facing up putting the diamond glaze over it and then a glass dome or cabashon on top since it has that clear finish can that be away to supplement a glue or adhesive that would risk fogging up the photo???
Yes, we've often used diamond glaze for that, and it works very well. Here's a video we did a few years ago demonstrating that technique: ruclips.net/video/HKtaaIbiLjg/видео.html
Do you not remember what you put in your videos? When talking about the glass stones the lady said there's different profiles with the glass stones. Low, medium, and high profile...?
Usually when we make these we're attaching them to beading foundation or sticking a magnet on the back with some E6000 adhesive, in which case it doest need any additional sealing, but if the back is going to be exposed a high quality paper sealant like this one by Nunn Design is what I'd try first: www.beadaholique.com/nunn-design-sealant-protectant-2-oz-for-patera-findings-1.html
Hello, I was wondering if you could help me, I've tried using the epoxy stickers on photos and within a few minutes the picture obsorbs moisture and damages the picture. How can I prevent that from happening?
Marisol Rodriguez That's an interesting and I am sure frustrating problem. Are you printing the images from your home printer and what type of paper are you using? Is it a laser or inkjet printer?
The stickers are more of a craft type item and that is why they are cheaper. They are not as permanent as the glass domes or resin and they are not as strong. They are stickers.

You can work these into jewelry designs, turn them into magnets, and a number of other applications.
What profile would you recommend for a picture? And what type of paper should I use and glue thanks. I want to make a memory necklace of my grandpa who passed away.

Hi can you help me where can I buy wholesale of epoxy domes? Thanks.

You can just glue a magnet to the backside using E6000 glue.

You will need to place your resin piece into the actual lamp or you can place your piece in direct sunlight.

I'd like to know what do you use to seal the backing of these?(the paper side)

Hows this work with resin paperweights?
The finished product, once the resin is cured, can be used as a paperweight.
Wont the stickers be easier? Then why isit that over here they sell the stickers the cheapest then the glass dome? Arw there any reason for this?:)

how much can you sell these for
