The thing is, it's the worst kind of oil. You will struggle to find extra virgin coconut or olive oil for example but lots of cheap imported hydrogenated vegetable or corn oils. It would be much better if people used the oil their grandparents used, natural palm oil or coconut oil. That's just the start!
Guys see the power of networking; a Nigerian man called Temba visit her restaurant and shouts out to Gano, and now a video with 54k view that is 54 prospective customers; this is how we help each other from Africa to the UK. I like her self-belief, values and discipline.
This is beautiful! She is absolutely right about everything she's saying about food choices. I've done extensive research on food and everything she's saying is true. Let's spread the word and support her.
I’m one of those people she was talking about who wasn’t a fan of a meatless meal until I tasted her food, she is a beautiful person inside and out which is another reason why her food tastes so amazing, job well done on showcasing her restaurant
Instead of rice, you should cultivate in Gambia buckwheat. It is 100 times healthier than rice and has much more minerals. Also you can compare it with beekeeping, so you can get buckwheat honey additionally. Best greets.❤
What this beautiful lady described in this video is 1000% truth! That's why I am planning my exit. If I didn't have a wife and kids, I would have left a while back. But it's alright, I'm planning now. I see clearly now.
Love this. What a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul. I also made the move back to the Caribbean and have no regrets. Thank you for sharing your story, I hope it inspires others to do the same. I wish you nothing but the best.
Being a plant base eater I overstand Plant base food carries a specific vibration . That means when ever I eat at Vibrationz I feel that positive vibes as my body rejuvinates. Thanks for your support to our community🌱💚🌱
This video was very well done! I haven’t been back to try the sister’s food, but, as soon as I get back to The Gambia I will head straight to her spot! While I generally cook my own food, the idea of being able to get ackee as well as being able to grab a meal while out brings me so much joy. Spending years going back and forth to The Gambia, there were no vegan options available at restaurants. Outside of myself I knew of only 3 other vegans in The Gambia. The idea that people really cannot believe that food can taste good without being cooked with meat amazes me. Most food is actually plants that are added to animal carcasses. Fruit, spices, herbs, beans, vegetables, grains, etc are all plant based. With the health conditions that I see in Senegal,The Gambia,Guinea-Bissau,etc it’s time to consider making some changes to the diet. Too much sugar, starch( rice, flour, bread), oil, maggi and jumbo seasoning cubes and meat is leading to the rise in diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, renal impairment, glaucoma, cataract, arthritis certain types of cancers and cardiovascular diseases are mostly lifestyle diseases that can be prevented with dietary changes and exercise. I see these illnesses that are so prevalent in the west also becoming prevalent in Africa. This can be catastrophic in countries where there is inadequate healthcare and most cannot afford to actually obtain healthcare in a cash based society that requires you pay for care upfront before being treated. Health is the true wealth and we have control over our health.
This is amazing and reflects my sentiments about life in the West, for the last year or so. I loved how you've expressed deep feelings so candidly and honestly. I wish you and your endeavors the best of luck and success. xx
Forget colour of my skin and being from the UK I would love the detox from our way of living in the west and become happy in a country were less is more and community is everything and food be at the heart, looking after one another rather than competing with your neighbours. Would love to visit The Gambia soon.
It’s so good to see this video, very elegant and educated lady, she articulates beautifully and I’ve learnt so much just by listening to her and she’s so accurate, on point with her experience as finding her purpose. As a Senegalese who settled in London/Uk I agree with her a 1000% and support her and her family in what she’s doing.💕💯
We visited this vegan restaurant in May the food is amazing and the portions are big this is a place where you can chill and eat some good food, let me not forget the fresh juices it’s a must.
She is such a lovely person and got to share her story with us as well! Great customer service at her restaurant x A reminder for me to visit since I live close
You can feel the good vibration as you enter. That along with the lovely aromas the impeccable warm and genuine customer service and fresh and wonderful tasting food comes second to none.🙏🤲

Great video! Very enlightening, very positive and well presented! We need more of this type of content that showcase the opportunities that Gambia has to offer for foreigners looking to settle down in Africa.
Imagine someone left her banking carrier and come to Africa just to live in a real life and experience something new while developing other things too, I mean this kind of people are very hard to find in the UK because after all she came to a place where everything welcomes her like her second home as she said the people, the environment and the weather. Gambia needs more people like her so that we can have a different working system not only doctors because only in The Gambia that most of the graduates are nursing ( they all study the same course)
I live in both worlds Wales out in the country with 2 acres of land now garden of fruit orchard & vegetables . I'm self surfisiant with these So one can grow things with a garden
Not been to the Gambia yet…. It’s on my bucket list ….. Jamaicans eat a lot of plant based foods without knowing it ….. but I will say that its not true about the uk being a concrete jungle….it depends on where you live …. There are some amazing places in the uk outside of the concrete jungles….. that will blow your mind…. If you live in a place that is a concrete jungle where you have land to grow eg certain parts in London maybe thats true…. But I grow too many things in my yard not allotment in the uk and I know of allotment groups in the London area that grow things I never knew could grow in the uk eg cassava sweet potatoes chocho etc etc…any carb is broken down into sugar…. That’s why too many African and Caribbean peoples end up with diabetes and HBP ….. The dishes though look AMAZING 🎊 loving that you presented a real salad with dark green leaves….IF ONLY WE HAD SMELLOVISION ❤….. I just wish that those Caribbean’s investing in Gambia would build up the agricultural market eg growing what we know in the Caribbean too eg callaloo etc…. You video has inspired me further to want to visit the Gambia 🇬🇲 🤗🥳🤗
Brilliant video. Smart lady. Well done. I live an alkaline life and will be posting videos soon about that type of food. Look out for it soon and I will be in the Gambia soon as well.
That's fantastic video.. I have a huge experience in international brands more than 25 and I will ve happy to help her for development of her business .. inshallah will come to Gambia from Saudi by end of year to take care of my business and difinately I will visit her business .
Oh yesss! She's definitely got a market than will grow like wildfire! I'm not vegan, I'm pescatarian but eat a lot of vegan foods and yes I don't miss the meat. I have noticed that Gambians eat a lot of meat and use a lot of oil, which worries me and could explain the low life expectancy age. We need to educate our brothers and sisters on the choices they make in terms of healthy eating habits and lifestyle in general such as exercise. Well done to this sista Queen, I will certainly be visiting, when I don't feel like cooking (because I can cook my own vegan) I wish her all the best. I'm sending this video to all my Gambian Family and friends. Thank you Gano, you did it again, and you filled your belly!! You certainly looked like you enjoyed all those tasty dishes....😋 great video 😀👍🏽💯
This is how i feel living in the United Kingdom i am never full now i know where my problems are coming from UK food is not good everything is processed here 😩
I am a Gambian based the US and I love plant based food. I cook plant based food every week. I eat meat but once in awhile. Ever since i started eating plant based food, I've felt different in a good way. I think after a few years, i will stop eating meat completely. I am in transition at the moment. I have to visit this place when i visit Gambia again.
How can you make this beautiful video without showing us where it is located. Come on gano. How come. I am dying to go there but unfortunately no address or location. Have no idea where in gambia it is. Its a shame not knowing where this good food is. Thanks.
I live in Gambia and trying to find her restaurant’s exact location on google but to no avail. It would be nice to get her on google so we can find her.
The restaurant in the Gambia is nicer and cleaner than restaurants in Britain. Thumbs up to this woman.
This is what Gambia needs. So many people are getting unwell because of the food they consume. Rice and oil 24/ 7 twice a day. Weldone Sis
Africans cook with too much vegetable oils and MSG. Both are toxic
The thing is, it's the worst kind of oil. You will struggle to find extra virgin coconut or olive oil for example but lots of cheap imported hydrogenated vegetable or corn oils.

Well done sis,
I hear you.
I'm Uganda in my 40s with two teenagers.
It was only lockdown that gave us the fire to start a journey back home.

The fact you addressed the brother by “my brother” is beautiful to hear from a sister coming from Europe❤️
Instead of rice, you should cultivate in Gambia buckwheat. It is 100 times healthier than rice and has much more minerals. Also you can compare it with beekeeping, so you can get buckwheat honey additionally. Best greets.❤
She reminds me of food owners and places in Trinidad and Tobago. If you grew up in the Caribbean - you appreciate this video. Big up this sister!
Wow this lady is an absolute QUEEN, she is so right, everyone falls for the trap and forgets to go back.

Omgg, I had no idea we had a plant based restaurant! She is doing an amazing job👏🏾 Ital is Vital✊🏾💚!
Right!!
When we are grateful for what we have we get more of it
Wonderful.
Nice to hear that the dishes are enjoyable.

Speaking of frequency, my grandmother picked certain vegetables on a full moon. I think there is a reason for this!
