    What do you look for in a putter? There are all kinds of contraptions out there, so I wouldn't even know what to look for!

    • @GeezerTony
      @GeezerTony  3 месяца назад +1

      Mostly something I can aim well....I need lines preferably more than one, Beyond that, it just need to feel good, the weight, the swing, and how the ball feels coming off of it. Nothing scientific, lol! For me I need a mallet style head, I've never putted well with the ping anser style putter....but that's just a personal think.

    Cast irons will typically return to their original loft and lie, especially if they are bent more than 1 degree. I enjoy your videos. Thanks

    Hey Tony, it's great to see what you are using to make all of those good shots.
    I use a PXG 4 wood & 7 wood for my fairway clubs.
    I really like the 7 because it is so much easier to hit than a 4 iron and it flies about 190 for me. Also have the Jumbo Max grips on all of my clubs.
    It takes a little while to get used to them, but when you do you won't go back to a thin shaft.

    Hi Tony. Love your videos. Quick question: does the set up for impact swing have similar principles to the stack n tilt swing?

    • @GeezerTony
      @GeezerTony  3 месяца назад +1

      Hi Rick...I believe it does based on questions I've heard clients ask Kirk when we do schools together. I do not know other swings and what they are about, I know the Setup 4 Impact swing thoroughly and that's all I need/want to know. So I can't speak with any knowledge about any other swing methods.

    He's right about the Kirkland Costco balls being a little shorter. Good ball though, I played them many times this year. They have them in store now at $19.97 for 2 dozen so I bought 20 dozen, can't beat that price. Going to use them in my shag bags. Might as well hit good balls when I practice as opposed to garbage.

    Tony have you ever tried the arm lock putter ? I know that Bryson uses one and it seems to be a natural for the setup4impact swing since it locks with the lead arm and uses the pivot of the right arm ?

    • @GeezerTony
      @GeezerTony  3 месяца назад +1

      Hi Jack...I have been armlocking for 4-5 years now. Have you watched any of my playing videos?......you'll see it there. It only uses the turning of the body (chest) to swing the putter.

    You said 1 inch over, but are the lie angles upright and with the graphite shafts, I’m curious about swing weight. I’m also 6’3” but only 1/4 inch over. With this set up for impact all the heels of club are off the ground and tend to catch toe with shorter irons. Would like to go a little longer, but would have to switch to graphite shafts due to swing weight

    • @GeezerTony
      @GeezerTony  3 месяца назад

      Extending 1 inch makes the lie angle 2 degrees upright. If your lie angle was correct before, it still is with S4I. Lie angles should be set for impact. We are having you set up on the already correct impact plane. As for swingweight, I have no idea what mine are, I've never checked them. the 1 inch ovelength is just what I need, has nothing to do with S4I

    I have read that for a mid handicap player using cavity back irons or game improvement irons, they should consider using cavity back wedges instead of a forged wedge. Do you have any comments or suggestions. Great review!

    • @GeezerTony
      @GeezerTony  3 месяца назад +2

      I just think you should use whatever you hit well and like. I have forged wedges and game improvement irons...If I found a cavity back wedge I hit better then I would use that! I think it doesn't matter.

    Great video Tony 👍 good information do you bend All your irons to Gap them?

    • @GeezerTony
      @GeezerTony  3 месяца назад

      Hi Donald...I don't bend them myself...I have things bent only if a gap is too big or too small. The 2 gap wedges were going about the same distances, so I had the A wedge strengthened to split the difference between my 52 and my PW.

    • @GeezerTony
      @GeezerTony  3 месяца назад

      I use a cheap version of the Golfpride MCC half cord, midsize. I just recommend what feels right to each person....since I don't wear a glove the cord on the top half and rubber on the bottom half of the grip feels great to me. The cheap imitations are 1/3 the price and after 8 months are still fine (and I play a LOT of golf),,,,,so even if I needed to replace them every year I'm ahead.

    • @rballas1

    Hey Geezer, interesting video… So what is your feeling about a less experienced golfer going for a fitting to get a set of clubs given so few of the clubs you are playing were purchased as a result of a fitting and it sounds like you have made adjustments to them all?

    • @GeezerTony
      @GeezerTony  3 месяца назад

      Only adjustments are adding length ( I do that myself) and 2 loft adjustments (5i and AW). I think a fitting can certainly help AFTER one has developed some semblance of a repeating swing...but don't expect it to be a miracle to your score! Fitting should help you get the most from what you have, but most of all make it easier to hit a better shot.

    Tony, have you changed the lie of any of your clubs?

    • @GeezerTony
      @GeezerTony  Месяц назад

      Hi Tim, everything I have is at the "standard" lie. I have not had any clubs adjusted for the lie. I have had a couple adjusted for the loft so that they would go the distance I needed them to in order to fill a yardage gap.
