Btw if you want to make a mask to the entire foreground what you can also to is to - create a mask around the entire sky, using the ai mask > invert the mask > smile because it was so simple :)
This is such a valuable tutorial. So many photographers don’t realize how powerful masks can be in Lightroom. I LOVED how you used a radial to mimic sunlight. I usually do this in my photographs, but I drag the exposure up too much, I didnt realize that using dehaze makes it look so much softer and “glow”. Thank you man!!
I’m glad that you think so it really make me happy and comments like these makes all this time and effort worth it ❤️ thanks again for watching and lmk if I can help you any further ☺️
Couple of days ago I discovered you channel, I watched two of yours Lightroom Tutorials and learned so many things. Thanks for all the tricks and explanations, I can't wait to watch more of it and learn!!
you just have a new subscriber! I am new in photography, and I really need to understand the editing cause is a lot. and you explain very well. thank you!
I mean, not really. Most of these edits are making the photo look more like what the eye saw in the moment. Cameras don't have nearly the dynamic range that the human eye does. If you want a camera that gets close to the human eye it will cost north of 100k
At 1st I had a little difficulty understanding you accent. But after watching a few videos from you I think you offer some really great insights and i'm adjusting. LOL. Good job my guy.
I know all the tools you mentioned in this one, but the part regarding mask and color tempature just blew my mind 🤯 Such an amazing idea to implement and play with the cold / wam colors. Have to apply this on my next photos, then the kids allow it :D That being said, on my normal daily images I edit them only slightly like you described the LR user in the beginning :D Thanks for sharing my friend :)
Excelleeeennntt...!!! Love a good old back to basics photography painting process . Would be nice to do same effects in video postpo with premiere ma man ..!!! Cheeeerrrssss...!!!👍
Nice video✌🏻 Trying to learn my self how to use lightroom so these videos are always nice. Question though: Do you turn your screen brightness to max when editing? cheers
Hey! This was INSANE to watch, I am really thankful for the content and your vibe is really kind and nice :) I wanted to ask something maybe a bit dumb but I think it would be interesting for you to explore. I have my RAW archives from my Nikon D7200 (soon enough from my Sony A7CII already on its way!) so everything is supereasy to edit in LR. But how could we enhance a little bit all these photos that are "bad JPGs" that friends send us when we are having a day out or something? What is the "technical" reason for it to be that hard? I would love your point of view on this, hope it makes sense for maybe a good video :) Anyway, sending heaps of love your way
Ive found that as soon as i start adding masks, especially with brush, lightroom slows right down so i have to leave them until the end. I'm using a 32gb(RAM) MacBook Pro too.
what do you think, are modern phones (pixel 8 pro for instance) are worse or ok (or even better) than cameras? is it possible to make good photo with phone? how bad is it, what are the disadvantages? I see color grading even in lightroom mobile
Ofc phones are great today, many of the photos I share are phone photos it's totally fine! :) But a good camera is better imo and gives you more flexibility
Maybe you can enlighten me, but I don't really understand why most people insist on doing these sorts of edits in Lightroom when Photoshop gives you worlds more control.
I see where you’re coming from, and sure maybe it’s that basic. But what I was trying to convey was how I use masks to shape light and guide viewers to the subject within my photos. Hope it made some sense
Thanks for the reply! I oversimplified, but I was questioning if you really get ahead of most by doing what seems to be exactly what every non-beginner LR user already does.
Naming things one of the hardest things in life. At this point, most of the videos from big(ger) creators are in their third title and thumbnail already.

Yes but the gradient towards the mountain I think was a nice touch for this one
@@explorewithlukeyou firstly create the gradient mask then exclude sky - Simpal!😂

What is that cover on your monitor?
Makes you wonder how many photos are really what the eye saw at that moment?

Can't you just use the Sky mask, then invert it? Instead of Linear Gradient + Brush
❤❤❤

Thank you very much!
The key is that the sunset must match the beard. The rest is secondary.❤

You help me realize, I have no hope at figuring this out 😂😂😂. I've got other talents
Thank you so much🎉
You’re welcome 😊
I like the original look better. That’s usually the case with most of the RUclips edit videos.
informative ALR video

Very good video. Would you mind talking a bit slower to keep up with your actions.
you can change the youtube playback speed yourself from the comfort of your home

So masks and presets? Gotcha.

And also to shape the light and get that right first before working on the tones. That’s what I usually do atm ☺️
