- One of the priority jobs to take care of on our new-to-us Sea Ray 370 Sundancer was to replace the rubber gaskets on all six port light windows. Three were showing signs of leaking, so naturally it was most prudent to replace the gaskets on all of them.
To follow along with the entire journey, please check out my 'Buying A Boat - The Good, Bad & Ugly' playlist here: • Buying A Boat - Sea Ra...

I installed the same gasket and screen kit in my 2001 260 Sundancer. I made a point of placing the gasket joint at the top of the opening to avoid water seeping when it sits at the porthole bottom.
I also suggest lubricating the screen seal with soapy water, a film of petroleum jelly or silicone grease. That makes the screen install a breeze!
I think I'm gonna take you up on that suggestion for the remaining four screens that I've yet to install 👍 Thanks.
@@BoatingWithBoogaboo You're welcome. I really enjoy you videos. You remind me of my brother in law, "Anal Al". I've picked a few tips and used them on our boat. Thank You!
Rick I have 2002 Sea Ray 260 Sundancer. Where did you buy your gaskets & screens? Do you know the part number?
HI RICK WHERE CAN I FIND THOSE GASKETS FOR MY 96 SEA RAY 300 SUNDANCER
Thanks Paul as always helpful and concise
Thanks. Glad you found it informative.
Well sir, this will be job #1 on our 380. The previous owner decided to just get some folded cardboard to wedge between the latch and window to create a tighter seal... tisk tisk. No 'Hoo Ha' for that.... all will be replaced! Then a mighty "Hoo Ha" with a crack of a cold beer to celebrate.
This boat came with the same 'cardboard will hold it' type repairs when we bought here. Happily, the repairs on all SIX of the port light windows worked perfectly, only requiring a small adjustment on one or two by the end of the season. That was due to the foam gaskets seating themselves over a few months, so be aware that you you'll probably have to do the same after the first season of use. . .
@@BoatingWithBoogaboo Duly noted , I'll make sure keep a keen eye on it after the initial compression sets in. Thanks man! 👍
Hi, congrats on this new family member… Exactly the project I need done to my boat 🛥… 👍🏼🙏 it sure helps… it was hard to find the gaskets but, although more expensive, Marine Max had the four I needed… enjoy your new adventures looking forward to sharing your experiences 👍🏼😎
Nice! And you probably got a lot better service from them when ordering 😉
are these Bomar port lights ? I just need to know ! The port light in this video look just mine in my 2001 285 SSi Chaparral
Yes, Bowmar on this boat. If you're ever looking for parts, I'd highly recommend not dealing with them directly. Best off by sourcing whatever you need from third party vendors.
Paul, do you have a link for the gasket's? I need the same ones
Watch the video again.
Great. Where did you order the gasket? I have a 320.
That's too funny 🤣
It would have been helpful to provide a source rather than talking around it for 3 minutes. Why bother doing the video if not providing sources? I'm glad the Sea Ray owners I know are much more helpful. Try this site: pompanettellc.com/product-category/spare-parts/portlight-replacement-parts/replacement-screens-for-extruded-portlights/. Might want to join the Sea Ray club, these owners are very helpful. www.clubsearay.com/index.php?threads/bomar-portlight-gaskets.87870/
I got my gasket kits at mmimarine. How were your screens once you got them in their groves? Mine were wavy.
Screens were a b***h to get in, but look fine.
Love your videos. New boater here with a 2005 Sea Ray. Is it possible to get the manufacturer of these gaskets or where to source them? Thank you
Read the other comments and replies.
Hey Paul where did you get the port light gaskets?

Why not share where you got the gasket? FYI for the several other people I see asking for this info: I hear Steele rubber is a good source for most boat gaskets and seals.
I DID mention it in the video. Not sure why so many missed it....
Where did you order the replacment seals
I thought I made mention of that in the video.
@@BoatingWithBoogaboo .....you could just post a link...great videos!
Ditto on OEM manufacturer. I called a couple years ago and they were just straight up rude.
Same experience for me. I regret spending money with them and highly recommend folks look for thier products elsewhere.
must have been Taylor Made
Urrrt! Guess again 😜
No link to the gaskets?
Nope.
I have a 2004 28ft Sea Ray. I can not find a seal. I can only find it in strips. Did you buy your gasket in size or did you have to cut it?
These came as one piece items. That said, I will not mention nor recommend the place where I bought them, as the customer service was absolutely horrible and they are not worthy of mentioning. Check it out; ruclips.net/video/p7Y0LhXuGrQ/видео.htmlsi=49WtEN3Gu5A6O7a7&t=590
@@BoatingWithBoogaboo. Well, I would like to know. I am at a dead end.
@user-vm7mq7zz8u Try a Google search for
bomar screen and gasket kit sea ray
@@BoatingWithBoogaboo would the gasket you used fit my Sea Ray and if so which one?
I bought the seals. They were not the exact size I cut them to size but it works. The screens I have writing on them. “Remove when shutting window”
where to buy the rubber gaskets ?
I found them online.
I didn't see any info about changing the screens. Info from anyone please?
Exactly!
Has anyone been able to find these gaskets? I've spent hours looking for these online. Pre-cut to fit and the double sided tape looks like it's the best way to go. Thank you
Try SeaRay-Parts.com. I think they have something that would work, but no two way tape. Easy to just put them in with silicone as the adhesive.
@@BoatingWithBoogaboo Thank you very much
May I ask what you paid for your boat?
Probably around the 120k CDN mark
More than we initially had in mind, but no regrets and am happy with the value in that vessel.
wish my 370 was that clean im getting there !watching videos
Your better when you talk and no music ! Just saying
Sometimes it's not possible to record voice audio, such as in this case. I'm only trying to help folks out, but this video seems to have fallen short of that goal, making me wonder if it's worth the effort sometimes.
Just sayin'.
@@BoatingWithBoogaboo great video as always !! Didn’t mean anything love your show
