Fun Fact: The Clue Movie actually has multiple endings to be shown at different theaters.
VHS and TV viewings show all three endings, while the DVD and Blu-ray versions either show one ending at random or all three.
GameAndWatcher96 a movie with different endings depending on how many times you watch.......awesome just awesome
GameAndWatcher96 Ending #2 is my favorite. The Butler hilariously trying prove that by previous observations alone that the revolver had no bullets left, only to discover that it actually had one left (which was fired at the chandelier).
GameAndWatcher96 Wait no. Ending #1 had the argument over how many shots had been fired. Ending #2 was “Miss Peacock was a man?!” *slap!*
There's a 4th I believe
There was a 4th ending, but cut because the director hated it.
I received a copy or two of this in a cereal box way back yonder. Cereal box games were the best thing ever as a child. Lots of fond memories with em'.
All I find in my cereal now is cereal...
:(
Me too.
That was the same way I got this game.
@ryanscheffer2302 Same way I got Rollercoaster Tycoon 2. One of my favorites growing up!
I remember this game. I got this in a box of ceral. Best money I didn't spend.
Dang, I wish I got this in a box of cereal.
I'm pretty sure it was Cheerios. Which means you had to eat boring ceral to get kick ass game
I got it, indeed, in cereal. As a kid. And dead on accurate, this game TERRIFIED me. I didn't understand the rules, I just clicked on things, clicked on more things, and then *STAB STAB STAB*
Same here, oh the nostalgia
That's how I got it. Do you remember that weird ass launcher thing it had?
Brutalmoose-do is my favorite show.
I like Scooby-Doodo
Let's just go play Super Mariodo Or Legend of Zeldado.
ok
The Nerdi Yoshi I
I'm not sure if I should be disappointed that my comment idea was already the top comment, or love that there are people with my sense of humor.
Clue also has a musical theater adaptation of all things. It is interactive, the plot is randomly generated each showing, and the audience gets clue cards to track hints and play along.
That's awesome. I've seen the play based on the movie, but a randomized version sounds cool
@@TSKyanite I played Colonel Mustard in my school version.
@@isaiahchapman7660 I played Col. Mustard at a community theater back in 2013.
"In*clue*ding but not limited too"
I'm on to your wily tricks.
May "I not seen such bravery" Rest In Peace 2017
I was just about to ask where it went xD
James Maron that's been gone for a few episodes now lol
ok
Why is it gone? :(
James Maron he's no longer brave I guess
I had this game on PC. Really liked the music but the accusation cutscenes freaked me out when I was younger.
There were some changes in the UK version, both the PC game and the board game I have. Apart from being called Cluedo, Mr Green is called Reverend Green, and the location is the Black Mansion, with Mr Black as the victim. With that last change, it makes the atmosphere different, whereas Mr Boddy seems goofier.
I actually kinda like how the 2000s version handled it. Boddy himself had the full name of "John Boddy", but he was known more locally as "Dr. Black" (I don't remember what the doctorate was stated to be) after his late uncle, Sir Hugh Black. the 2000s-era background of "Boddy discovered a trickle of money flowing out of his uncle's trust fund account, so to figure it out he invited 6 (now 5 due to mrs. White dying of old) close confidants of Hugh's, only to be murdered" was reused for the most recent version. In fact they also lampshade the whole "reverend green" thing by mentioning that his reverendship is more or less a cover for him while he lays low after a con or two of his got busted. It's unnecessary for a simple board game, but the fact that they took the time to make a strong lore for it is surprisingly wholesome to me.
You should do a video over classic pop cap games. A sort-of catch all since they're more simple games. Mummy Maze, Noah's Ark, Fireworks, Alchemy, etc.. They're very nostalgic.
2:20 So it's pretty much like Thanksgiving with my family? Got it.
Joss Hoskie god damn I love your videos
What kind of family are you living with?
xDDD
Falchion Of Eternity I'm not the one on trial here
It was Tim Curry, in the bedroom, with his sexiness.
HES JUST A SWEET TRANSVESTITE
*_He craves the Solace of the night!_*
That movie was amazing. I mean, the crew basically put tim curry and christopher lloyd in a room with several people, and had them just go all out.
I would love to die that way ;)
With his Toxic Love
Is this.... two videos in one week? You spoil us Ian.
So it was Caddicaurus in the Dining Room with the Mutant Lasagna?
I think it was PBG in the Kitchen with the Master Sword.
Really? I thought it was ProJared in the study with the bees
It was Spacehamster in the Bedroom with the plastic Lightsaber
It was JonTron in the living room with the grilled Mormon.
It was the Completionist in the Lounge with the Buster Sword.
Last time I was this early people called Ian brutalmoose
Bombo Klaa ikr
ok
Most murder mysteries are mostly process of elimination, to be honest.
I'm so happy you used "feeling sad about myself" as the outro music, I really, really, love that track, and hope to hear more from you in the future.

Footsteps on some bricks
Now i have the urge to make an asmr video where it's nothing but audio of me clicking around the game's menu for an hour.
in Germany we pronounce it "Clu-eh-do". it was weird when I learned that the original title was simply "Clue"
There are other CLUE PC games if you are interested:
CLUE Fatal Illusions is a Point & Click adventure that uses the same character models as MABM
CLUE CD-Rom is like the CLUE Board game but you move around the mansion looking for clues and interrogating the 6 suspects.
I actually came here to recommend he check out this game, too. I still have my copy and watching this video makes me want to pull that one off the shelf and play it again.
There are more than just the six suspects in Fatal Illusion and you actually don't even start in the mansion, but on a cruise ship. Eventually, you do progress to the mansion, however. (Though it's been years since I played and I can't be sure, but I'm 80% sure it's a different mansion from the board game.) Your investigations start with the murder of the party's host, Ian Masque, while on the ship and the party goes downhill from there. It's sort of interesting to see how they actually gave each of the characters a backstory and a personality, and while it's not the best game out there it's certainly something I'd love to see Ian get his hands on and review.
Also, I absolutely agree he should do the VCR game - which I have, as well, because I am a total Clue addict. Cheesy video goodness right there.
James Porter I'm too busy spending my inheritance on the Clue slot machines
It's more of a Castle that you venture to and Fatal Illusions is set in Germany 1938 / 39
I do actually have the Cluedo Pub Quiz machine on my PC.
Oh my god I knew I'd stumble across you somewhere in these comments do you have any idea why the forum exploded D:
Holy crap, I just realized that this was the very first Brutalmoose video that I’ve watched. It also was the sole reason I’ve bought this game. How time flies.
I remember this old clue game show where every week a new character would get killed and a group of contestants in a team of two would ask the characters to deduce who the killer was
im nostalgic for this game...i liked to play it as a kid.
I had this as a kid
The cutscenes molded my 7-year-old mind into the horror adoring murder-mystery loving man I am today.
Plus it gives me night terrors that the 90's/early 2000's CGI could only bring.
Still love it tho.
You didn't mention the part where it's Mr. Green's turn, and he doesn't go... Ever.
He's a conman by trade, and this is his latest grift: stealing your time.
Brutalmoose is so rewatchable. Even more than 99% of tv I used to watch. Love you man! Keep on making us smile! through the hard times. ❤️
I remember that I received this game in a cereal box (Cheerios maybe). Ahh the good old days when you could get a fun CD with your sugary goodness.
7:01 Oh no, Professor Plum did it! Well at least he had a good poop in the jail afterwards, it wasn't all bad for him after all...
I'm loving the smaller video-do idea.
Yeah I got this game from a cereal box in the 90's when I was around 5 or 7 years old. It definitely annoyed my parents with how much I would run away from my PC scared. It glitched a lot for me. It didn't help that Windows 98 liked to invert colors when games glitched, adding an extra layer of terror for me.
I remember playing this game when I was young and is personally my favorite Clue video game (of the 2 I've played)
although I never once had any of the issue mention (that I remember).
Also I'd just to point out that you only ACCUSE someone when you think you've got it right, otherwise you're out
what you meant would have been making a SUGGESTION.
I had this exact version and it both terrified and entertained me endlessly as a kid. I would always play as either Miss Peacock or Professor Plum. The cut scenes are so creepy to this day! I'm so glad you picked one of my more treasured childhood memories for a video!
"I'm the last person I would've suspected, but I was looking for me all along! It's the perfect crime!" XD
I got this game free in a cereal box when I was a kid in the early 2000s. I reccomend you check out all the games they had in those boxes, they were all good.
Yes! I got a Sorry! and a Monopoly game from a cereal box and they were really fun.
I remember getting a game called "Chex Quest" in a cereal box back in the late 1990's. It was basically a re-textured DOOM conversion with green goo-aliens instead of demons and a protagonist wearing a giant chex square as body armor.
It's not the first time advertisements appeared in cereals.
I got Clue, Amazon Trail 3rd edition, and Carmen Sandiego: Word Detective. Best cereal prizes ever!
I had Clue and Amazon Trail 3rd Edition from the cereal boxes. The bug I keep running into in this game is when one of the computer players rolls 1 on the dice the game freezes and doesn't let the next player go.
I love this game! My parents and I would play it all the time when I was a kid! A lot of times we would play it in the dark. I have to say, the graphics have really held up over the years. The music is amazing too, I actually have it on my iPod. This game is pure nostalgia! Yes it had its game breaking glitches, at times they were frustrating, but some of them actually are some of the most memorable moments for me! There was this one audio glitch that happened now and again where when the butler would announce "Professor Plum", it would glitch out and say "Profesor Plummmmmmmmmmmm....". That is still an inside joke to this day! I just wish this would work on my laptop....
I don't think you get enough thanks for listing the audio or video sources in the bottom corner of your videos. it's greatly appreciated!!
BrutalMoose, it is your turn. Please roll the dice.
Oh wow, that takes me back.
Had three copies of this game from cereal boxes and played it in LAN-Mode with my siblings. We always faught about who would get to play at the win95 or at the win98+ computers, since it ran smoother (and with sound) on the win98er xD
Slinja Oh my god, I remember this Clue game too! It even came in a box of General Mills cereal! I didn't know how to play the game, but I did like the FMV cutscenes!
I loved this game. Those cutscenes did scare us as kids. May I suggest another PC adaptation of a board game? Try to find the game of life on PC. I can't guarantee that you'll find the correct version, but the one I played as a kid had hilarious cutscenes, like a bunch of money being put to the torch whenever you had to pay taxes.
awesome astronaut I think my family had that game as well; did your version have characters with huge heads, and whenever you were married, it showed a cutscene of your spouse just jumping in your car and looking at you in a totally-not-suggestive manner?
my sisters and I sunk countless hours into this game back in the day. Thank you!
Anyone seen the Clue movie? It was pretty good for not having much source material.
Yeah, it's one of those rare moments where a movie based on a game (albeit a board game rather than a video game) isn't a forgettable pile of crap. I wonder what a movie based on Monopoly would look like....
I say we start a petition for Telltale Games to negotiate with Hasbro in order to bring us an episodic adventure game based on Clue! Who's with me?!
"I say it was Professor Plum with a candlestick in the kitchen!"
**Professor Plum will remember that*
There is ideas that could make awesome movie directed by Quentin Tarantino.
And then there badass ideas like yours
mraaronhd that would be awesome!
Marry me
That would be so cool!!
I figured out who did the murder at Comment Manor.
The murderer was Brutal Moose. The crime area was Caddicarus's Spyro video and the murder weapon was the Light Saber.
I assume I have won the game.
Actually, you just lost the game
jjbussey and the game gets slaughtered!
The victim was the "I've not seen such bravery" guy.
I still won
Well the murder was actually Minrod and the real murder happened in Brutal moose's room! and the weapon was the gun due to the state of the wound
This is one of my favorite videos of yours, the editing at 4:18 is amazing :)
I read the books so many times in elementary school. I loved them so much.
Ian it's been years, when are we going to get that clue VHS game review?
Oh shit! We got this game in a cereal box. 2 memories. 1: Those cutscenes scared the crap out of me. 2: My brother would play this on his own but control all the characters so he'd win the game on the second turn. Thanks for the nostalgia blast, BruMu!
The intro clearly shows it was the candlestick!
Not only was it noticeably brought into the room but the shape when the lightning strike occurred was shaped a lot like a candlestick. The only thing it could otherwise be is a weirdly shaped dumbell.
Also, the scene of the crime is probably where the body was found.
Now we just need to know who the murderer is. I mean, it's the only information that's actually important.
Diamond Swordsmen Well, there also always the case that the murderer moved the body, or replace the murder weapon with a different object to give the investigators the slip. For example, the murderer could move the body to the parlor, where a certain character was last seen with the victim, to fool people into thinking that that character is the murderer.
The ending music for this is soo good, i love it. Good job Ian
Never had any experience with Clue, but this video is pretty nice. I especially like the theme that plays in the background, it's pretty chill.
Man, I love Brutalmoosedo
I remember this game so vividly, the animation of Prof. Plum shooting you with the revolver he would like put his hand on his mouth like he was ashamed.
I used to have this game! My Mom and sister would always play it together with me on our old PC, and I was always SUPER scared of the cutscenes with murder suggestions and always left the room for them or covered up my eyes! But, hey, I was super young at the time, so I guess that's why. This was so cool to think of again after all this time! Great video!
Brutalmoose? More like Cluetalmoose.
...-do.
I also got this game in my cereal. on a side note the VCR clue game is amazing. I like the characters in it more than the actual clue movie.
Hyping me up for this VCR game! I'm super excited to try it out.
concon361 I've never played a VCR game what are those like?
When I was growing up my sister and I played the Clue board game. We never learned how to play so we would make up our own stories using the characters or pons from another game. I can't remember if we had a favorite character but it was some of my fondest memories
Ahhh I played this so much as a kid, I never really knew how to play so I would roll the dice and just go. I never actually finished a game but I liked the way the narrator said "Ms. Scarlet, please roll the die."
Maybe you get a lighter sentence because you figured out you did it? Maybe you get a harsher sentence for accusing others of your crime. I dunno.
Spoiler: The Butler did it.
The butler is the only character in the game that couldn't have done it.
Dude I can't tell you how many memories you just brought back that I have completely forgot about. Thank you so much
I used to love Clue. It was pretty fun. I'd probably enjoy it even more now that I'm older.
Man, Cluedo is awesome. I have the dvd version, and it's super fun.
BagFaceMan is that the one with lavender, rusty, azure, and meadowbrook??
...What color is Meadowbrook supposed to be?
Elsie Not Giving You My Last Name blue green, cuz like meadow= green, brook= blue, so shes like a teal color
Ahhhh
That one always freaks me out just because of the creepy music and weird cgi.
well the elderly will need blue apron since meals on wheels...
I don't usually remember playing most of what Ian reviews, but I definitely remember playing a lot of this on my first old PC way back in the day. It was pretty fun. Great to see it again after so many years.
This was literally my favorite computer game as a kid! Thank you for doing a video on it!
I've not seen such bravery
Nice video!
Brush you haven't watched it yet
Will Barry It's barely been out for a minute. How do you know it's a good video?
:^)
But really though, he's a pretty consistent with his quality and I trust him to put out videos that I enjoy, which so far hasn't been proven false.
way to call somebody out.
I had this game growing up as a kid and i still have it. Thanks for making a review of it Ian!!! I loved the video and I'm going to go play the game now!!!
ive missed your videos for a time, thanks to come back
You should try The Game of Life on PC.
I should!
brutalmoose hey you should also try Stuart little 1 on pc its a classic😐
The one with the characters that looked like bobbleheads? I played that all the time
Pokemanic33 it's the one that has all the mini games like "dont drown in the sink or the dish washer while avoiding cats " or "drive a toy train" or "boat racing"
Meat I was referring to the original comment, on the Game of Life game
I swear people just refresh their subscriptions on youtube to be first to watch this video!
(You caught me ;) )
I like that little eyeball thing you're doing to indicate where clips are coming from. I appreciate it.
I also totally had this game as a kid. Loved it.
I think this is the only game Brutalmoose has ever reviewed that I actually grew up with. I loved the board game growing up, and no one ever wanted to play with me. So my parents bought me this computer game to shut me up. Soooooo nostalgic, but the murder cutscenes legit gave me nightmares.
Murder at Boddy mansion? More like BLOODY mansion, am I right?
I'm sorry
Dude. It's already a pun. Just let it go.
It's a pun already, because you discovered Boddy's body.
boddy's bloody body in their bloody mansion.
These videos aren't the same without the "I've not seen such bravery" :(
Yes they are
But, ARE they?
One of my favorite PC games ever, and one of the first I fell in love with.
I've had this game for so long and it's nostalgic to see it being reviewed on this channel. Hell yeah. I still remember one time of Immediately accusing someone at the beginning of the game and winning.
I've not seen such bravery...?
I've not seen such bravery ;( like if you miss it
Can I just say, I really appreciate that you put the name of the thing you use footage from at the bottom of the screen - Thanks, Moose
I keep coming back to this video, the soundtrack is just so good
I think I solved it! I know who killed the "I've not seen such bravery" intro! brutalmoose with the corporate sponsorship in the Clue review! Did I win?
why the fuck would they call clue cluedo
It's a pun on the board game Ludo!
brutalmoose good video
Us Brits love our puns, and complaining, and sarcasm.
brutalmoose ok I have never heard of ludo
Weird fact:
Ludo is called: "don't be irritated" (Literally: Human, don't irritate yourself!) In the netherlands ^_^
In the 90's my 3 older siblings and I would stay up late... So like... 10pm.. and play this game in the dark.
It is some of the best memories I have from my childhood.. We would scream at the cut scenes.. My oldest brother was always Professor Plum, next brother was Colonel Mustard, my sister Miss Scarlet, and I was Mrs. Peacock.. (if our mom joined in she was Mrs. White)
Everyone has moved away now but I still have our original copy of the game and cause I'm the sentimental type, I'm never giving it up.
Thank you so much for posting this.. I just moved and this is the type of nostalgia I needed right now.
I freaking loved playing this game when I was younger. I don't remember glitches, and I think mine came free in a cereal box. I remember it had this weird launcher advertising like a company every time I wanted to play.
Last time I was this early, people didn't automatically despise you for saying you were early.
Even though I'm pretty early I'm still not gonna get that blue apron stuff...
Please does anyone know how to install this? I've been searching every where but I couldn't found a way to get this. There's alwayas a error. Please D:
I always watch your stuff but I never recognise any of the games - until now. This was one of the games we had on our first family PC. I didn't really understand the rules very well as a kid so I played it solely for the terrifying cut scenes. Watching this brought back a lot of memories. Thank you!

Favorite review by far, I played this when I didn't have any internet when I was younger. Loved this game!
About halfway through the opening cutscene, I shouted out loud in surprise and delight:
"I had this game!"
lol, i always pronounced it like clu-e-do? Idk why you would say cludo. It sounds idiotic.
"Cluedo" a pun on the board game "Ludo", so I just assumed that's how it was pronounced.
It's based on the word clue. Why would you pronounce it clu-e?
It got promoted as "Clu-e-do" in germany, which makes sense considering that the word "clue" doesn't exist in german.
brutalmoose Dont worry as someone who grew up with the british version of the game i have only heard people prononce it as clue-do
What the hell are you talking about, ZenZeNya? "Clu-e-do" sounds stupid.
Hey 'Moose! Just wanted to say how much I enjoy this channel and your content. I always look forward to new videos, and you are among my top faves here on RUclips!
P.S. I can't wait to see where Televoid will go next! It feels like a dark interpretation of MST3K!
Always wait till the end of the day to watch a Brutal Moose video because I always want to end the day with a good video ^-^
Man... I loved that clicking sound so much. I remember it to this day.
i love these old pc reviews!
Dude, thanks for reviewing this game. I haven't seen this since I was a kid. I got it in a ceral box and it was the first time I ever remembered playing video games until the sun came up
Never actually played Cluedo, but I'm always up for a new Brutalmoose video.
I love that you mentioned the satisfying clicking sound effects, cause i had the same feeling and thought that I am weird :D
