@Spookhy probably the whole credit card scrub technique to which you run a pen over a blank receipt to get the engraved number on your credt card and then write the exp date and cvc code. Newer cards got rid of the engravings because of this. But now they are coming back.
I just want to point out that the man who created the music and sound design for Hot Dog King was Mick Gordon. Mick Gordon of Wolfenstein New Order, DOOM 2016 and DOOM Eternal
"This is definitely," I thought, "a hilarious joke about completely different roles." Then I Googled. Now I am enlightened, but I have lost several Sanity points.
brutalmoose It was great! Certainly a change, now both types of videos have their merits, I think it's good to shake it up a little with this, but personally the scripted videos are my favorites. You rock, Ian, keep on going!
Sorry to break it to you but love is an illusion. This game is an illusion. This video is an illusion. Even Brutal moose is an illusion! It is all because you cannot comprehend the ways of Alexi!
YoungTheFish Probably because brutalmoose seems such a Nice and calm guy, doesn't attract many toxic kids or trolls who would tell him his effort was shit or something
7:22 I dunno what you're talking about Ian, whenever I eat a coke, chocolate bar and burger with no plate I do occasionally stop and rub both my nipples with satisfaction.
in some countries, rubbing your nipples after a good meal is a sign of respect and courtesy to the host. In order to avoid offending cultural differences, I always rub my nipples just to be sure.
He really came into his own when he stopped using scripts. Awkward, cringy, self-aware so bad it's good type of stuff really made his content stand out a lot more and be a lot more entertaining.
I don't know what people are on about. Your comedic timing is hilarious. Besides, editing is basically working a script in reverse. Don't listen to them mustard. You do you. "So sexy." LOL
Just went through a bad breakup, so now I’m binging Brutalmoose as well as other youtubers I love. Thank you Ian for funny videos (and a relaxing voice, I find your voice very soothing), they’re helping a lot.
Fact: Hot Dog King was Mick Gordon's first game (as a part of music/sound design). Not to mention, he also worked on "The last airbender" video game in 2010. Yes, that Mick Gordon of Doom fame. Such humble beginnings...
The 3D models don't really match the ones they used for the employees, so my theory is that they found those animations somewhere and just re-used them to save money, or just because they were lazy.
aMAX Animations all of my this. I much prefer a script. This whole ordeal just sounds like a lot of run on sentences and poorly delivered lines. It's painful...
It comes off as if the episode isn't finished. Like we are getting a making of a brutalmoose episode. Watch the making of an AVGN episode and it feels pretty similar.
I agree with this. You're able to pull off the scripted stuff better than most, and it sets you apart from the vast majority of gaming youtubers. Rather than trying to apply your formula to unscripted stuff, try building some unscripted stuff into what you already do.
Björn Eggert I agree. I used to find it really constricting using a script; especially if I thought of something extra on the day and had to try and fit it in. I always use bulletpoints when making content now, I feel that it allows me to ease up and be myself :)
Yeah, I agree. The video was funny and good and all, but I get a lot more enjoyment out of his scripted videos, though. I would, however, like to see more of these non-scripted videos.
As an experiment I think this was an okay attempt, but you're definitely stronger with a script. Yes, you may "sound like a robot" as you put it, but I personally thought of that as just a quirk, not a detriment. I never saw it as a problem myself. People are suggesting bullet points and I'm inclined to agree, having at least somewhat of a structure helps I think.
How did I not realize Ian was gay when I first saw this video all those years ago? His lack of enthusiasm for the bikini-clad babes should've been a dead giveaway...
I liked it! It seemed like you were a little unsure of yourself, which is understandable, but if you keep trying I'm absolutely sure that you'll improve on improvised videos
This was pretty good Moosey, you should do more! Don't worry if you're not too confident at first, you'll get the hang of it! Plus, your occasional awkward moment is always funny
There are only two RUclipsrs I hold sadness in my heart for, for the fact that they do not release much content any more, that's FrankieonPC and Brutalmoose.
“Throw food at your customers. I don’t give a shit I’m mustard... uh I mean I don’t get angry at anything”. Sounds like something straight out of Rick and Morty interdimensional cable.
I feel like you could go without a script if you Had a show where you played Flash Games. You seemed not confident in this video. But I loved the commercial ending!
8:57 You'd be surprised, Ian. Though, I'd prefer to play an actually good tycoon game with giant women instead of whatever this is. I wish that existed (unless it does).
I liked this video, but you just seemed lost trying to make it like one of your scripted videos. If you're going to make it spontaneous, I'm all for it. Just embrace the fact that you're going without scripts.
I've gotten really used to your old style, and it IS a tad robotic, but it's also kinda charming. I do sorta like this unscripted format as well, but you seem like you're having a problem really hitting on what you want to talk about. Maybe find a middle ground? Bullet points or a loose script? Whatever comes of it, I'm super impressed that you would even try this. Good on ya, Ian!
If he's used to having a script, then it could take him a little while to develop a good style without one. Give it a few episodes, and if you still don't like it, at least you've given it a shot.
This game feels like it was made as a meme. Like, the devs were in on some big joke about a fake hot dog simulator with bizarre minigames and plot, and a giantess fetish, and they just knocked it out in, like, 10 minutes.
6:04 just became my most favorite line in one of your videos lol. i've been watching since you put out your review on shadow the hedgehog lol. So glad you style of videos kept evolving in such a good way and entertaining way
The off-script style totally worked! Kind of felt like a stream, but edited for the best parts. Also, that commercial would have made me buy it day one. A+, Mustard, A+.
A hot dog tycoon game marketed towards giantess fetishists
now i've seen everything
Right? Who thought this was a good idea? I can satisfy my kink without having to play a crummy game thanks to the internet. Hell, I can satisfy my kink while playing a _good_ game thanks to the internet!
hey man, giant hot dog shaped trucks make GREAT dildos
What's next, a dollar store tycoon game marketed towards goth vampire cosplayers?
Not gonna lie that sounds like a license to print money
"The ways of Alexi are beynd the comprehension of mortal man." Having worked in fast food I actual knew a lot of people like Alexi.
@Brantley Micah
Works so well that they steal your credit card info too.

Revisiting this comment one year later, I've no fucking clue what the context was.
@Spookhy probably the whole credit card scrub technique to which you run a pen over a blank receipt to get the engraved number on your credt card and then write the exp date and cvc code.
Newer cards got rid of the engravings because of this. But now they are coming back.
I need to add that to my resumé. 😂
I hate when my computer gets a virus. Forces me to play Pacman all day just to keep my files.

I got Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past. I feel like I lucked out.

Mick Gordon of Wolfenstein New Order, DOOM 2016 and DOOM Eternal
Well, you gotta start somewhere
thats honestly kinda inspiring lol
And Prey (2017)!
Don't forget the man behind the music of Killer Instinct 2013
"This is definitely," I thought, "a hilarious joke about completely different roles."
Then I Googled.
Now I am enlightened, but I have lost several Sanity points.
It's nice to see the earliest blueprints to Brutalfoods. No script, improvised reactions, a costume
Not sure that unscripted content is the future for me, but this was a fun thing to try out nonetheless! Hope you guys enjoy it!
As long as it's an upload.

brutalmoose It was great!

Alexi = The Rotund Man, calling it now.
Either that, or he's the guy running Televoid.
Alexi probably also created the small amenities. Who knows? His ways are so incomprehensible, that I could see him being able to create them.
+Bingo The Dreamer he probably invented DOORS, at least. Why doors? Well, why NOT doors?
alexi is love, alexi is life
It looks like the re-purposed a porno game's assets.

No-script Ian is a funny, if awkward guy.

Alexi's neck is beyond the comprehension of mortal man.

I never noticed the "robotic" voices in previous episodes. This unscripted episode has a brutalmoose of unsureness-in-his-voice.
Rewatching this in 2023, I've realized that this is the secret backdoor pilot to BrutalFoods and we had no idea! Ian sure didn't either. xD
Very different from your other videos. I liked it, although I don't know if I'd want EVERY video to be like that.
Linkaru Yeah. Although this was quite enjoyable and genuine, I enjoy scripted videos just a bit more.

Yeah, I agree with that. Maybe stick to the scripts.

Hi gary oak pokemon master
the only reason that brutalmoose covered this game, was so that he could show off his mustered bottle costume.
I wouldn't have noticed this was unscripted were it not pointed out. It's on par or a little better than the rest of his videos.
"Manage your whatever"
That sounded funnier than it should to me.
This is when Ian's videos really started to shine. Always getting better and evolving the platform.
That's strange. Ian's wearing a gray shirt, and so am I. Blah Blah Blah, dead meme about the -Freemasons- Illuminati.
Hi, I'm mustard. You may remember me from WW1.

This may sound weird, but I think you sound more natural with a script. It's your channel though, so you do you. I'll keep watching either way :)
MORE OF THAT GREEN SCREEN STUFF THAT WAS AMAZING.
I'm glad you tried this unscripted idea...but I'm not all that fond of it :I
I like this a lot. RUclipsrs nowadays all have that sort of "Robot Delivery". You have a very natural and genuine sound which I like very much.
"just found a rats nest, slaughter about... 200 hundred of them?" the rat stick has never been so practical in a video game before
