- Incredible footage of Rafael Nadal Training in Indian Wells 2019 ATP. He looks intense and focused and seems to be hitting the ball clean. He is a big favourite at the tournament amongst fans and is expected to go far in the event. Rafael Nadal Forehand and Rafael Nadal Backhand are both extremely solid but the Nadal forehand spin is unlike any other pro and he gets much higher bounces off the court due to the ball rotation he applies.

What do you think about Rafa this year, can he get back to World No.1?
of course not
Unlikely. He struggled against old man Fed in recent head to head meetings. He got destroyed by Djoko at the AO and Djoko is now in a zone that no one player can take him out of. Younger and healthier guys waiting in the wing are not going to wait around forever. But he's favored to add at least one slam for the year. If he win the FO, which he should, then his camp and fans can consider it a good year.
@@TangoTran unlikely? 😂 After US Open, he doesn't have any point to defend, while Djokovic has a lot. If neither World No2 has a chance at 1, then who, Federer? 😂
@@tennisradu Which part of my Djoko's in the zone don't you understand?
@@tennisradu no one. Novak will stay as number one for 2, 3 maybe 4 years
Anyone else watch videos like this, think you’re going to have smooth hits like these the next time you go out and play but instead you play like crap
Lmao yes
Everytime :(
Yeah, Reality check hit me so hard I felt like a 9 year old on the court today. :(
ty cho I feel like a zygote every time I play
ty cho how r u playing with coronavirus. All the courts near me are closed
Theres nothing as satisfying as watching Nadal hitting. What an excellent professional
We have more videos coming of his drills and serving so look out for it!
Were you ever in a threesome? Way more satisfying bro.. but yea, watching nadal hitting isnt bad either.
@@MP_Tennis That's gay
Watching Federer hitting is 1 level above
@@tamashegyi6689 for you
Sold out crowd to just watch a legend train. Awesome.
Imagine how annoying it is to train like this lmao
@@ivanbolanos1536 bruh they can even practise privately it was just that it was SCHEDULED that the crowd would be there.....otherwise Nadal and other players practise alone
The camera angle is the best to watch tennis.
A little higher or more to the left/right us better I think. This way rafa wouldn't block half the court
C o wtf
Wider lenses, camera placed a little bit backwards and really slightly higher, and then you have an absolutely cinematic overview of the players spin, technique, speed and footwork.
But you will be able to see just one person clearly.
@@reubenjoseph7228
Yea thank you. all these people whine all day about the camera angle. whah whah whah this is the best angle whah whah whah why can the show all matches like this. Theyre just people that dont understand the sport.
Tremendous ball striking. And to think, he backs this up with excellent strategy. It's no wonder he is a legend of the sport.
that racket sounds like a call of duty hit marker
you know you play too many video games when
I miss the days where the hitmarker sounded like this

Daniel Istri how did u see that
I know rafa’s forehand is incredible. But watching from this angle, I really got a newfound respect for his backhand as well.
I tell you what, I never realized how clean he hits it but I saw him practice at USO last year and I guess being a natural righty, he can really rip it
You got to love Rafa and how he reacts to the crowd :) great role model and a legend of the sport
Couldn't said it better myself!
I love watching Nadal playing, the power of forehand just unbelievable.
No. It's unbelieBable.
Videos like this are great. Excellent quality, full court view( hate when I can’t see ball flight back and fourth), I could watch this all day. So great :)
Thank you, we will do our best to post many more :) please share and help us grow!

15:20 Those hits 🔥
I always see above court footage of him playing. Im like why is he grunting so loud, hes not hitting the ball to hard. Now that i see court level, Im like, man this guy should be grunting way louder.
I mean you can see clearly that the grunting is synchronized with the effort he is putting into those shots. In WTA it really doesn't seem that way.
I think it is a way to put more of a hard solid hit. He does it when he hits hard. Forced air out of the lungs tightening the abdomen. Al the power comes off the arms, shoulders. Also to tighten nerves of the opponet some say. Not certain. Probably uncle Tony taught him that.
As someone who tries to play tennis going in at least 60-80% for every shot for 1-2 hours, I’ve noticed you really need to breathe well to maintain your strength at those prolonged playtimes and I’ve noticed grunting can be another form of making you forget about unnecessary things which could hinder your form as tennis is a very technical sport
Pheng Yang I agree with this, when I focus on breathing, I tend to get into the zone much faster and hit more efficiently.
The grunting can be a sure sign that you are breathing properly into your shots. There are a few videos which explain when you should be breathing in and out during stroke production as well as how certain breathing patterns help in generating power.
You knows he’s a pro when he can accurately hit the ball in any way to the specific spot that he wants it to land
A shout-out to the hitting partner who somehow manages to get a racket on Rafa’s bazooka shots and miraculously returns them. 👏👏👏
Beautiful to watch - VAMOS RAFA 👑
7:19 the moment Rafa got his tempo

Fun for you not so fun for him 😂
wow what a forehand by nadal unbelıavable
This is insane!
¡Mucho me gusta!
Ohh.. the power! A backhand to behold!
imo every match should be displayed on court level view
Man raffa is the greatest! The energy that bleeds from him is so original and makes him very unique! What other player has played with the intensity raffa does?? He is the one player that grunts from actual 100percent effort! When ahh comes from his mouth with every shot you can clearly hear its from deep in his lungs and from giving 100percent not just to frustrate the opponent! Now lets not get into the argument of who the greatest player is im just saying he is my favorite player ever to watch! For me the best player is who brings the most entertainment and shot making and raffa has that in spades! And he fights like a dog every point! Love you raffa my best player ever!! 💜
BADDAZZ GARAGE lol you think his grunts are from effort? Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha. Nadal makes tennis look hard, Federer makes it look easy.
Me encantan éstos videos!
bruh someone yelled “DON’T GET MARRIED” lmao
Mesmerising, utterly mesmerising.

Excellent video. I wish courts had a RPM measurement as they speed for serves.
A true master of the sport.
WOW this guy is pretty good. Might be some to look out for in the future.
Someone bouta get r/woooshed
I just watch these before I go out to hit feeling inspired then I’m Immediately let down when see myself I play. 😭
that forehand is beautiful
The quality of balls from the sparing partner is amazing.
This camera angle is awesome
Interesting to see that he hardly ever uses the lasso technique in practice sessions.
It is because in training he tries to get more rhythm on the stroke but when he plays he fully releases it for extra spin
@@LoveTennisOfficial he should play his matches like this more, lesso lasso and topspin, hit more flat
XxMaplerzxX He has already been doing so. Take a look at recent statistics.
lasso is not a technique, his forehand is always the same technique. it just ends in lasso if he hits the ball upwards, and no lasso if he hits the ball downwards (or same lateral height).
this practice he is being given neutral balls that he has to attack, so of course he hits more attacking flat downwards shots and less defensive rounded topspin shots
amazing!! hopefully you can share some video of roger from this perspective!
I would've yelled at the person behind rafa so many times if was there 😅
Roger is my all time favorite, but I love watching Nadal hit that forehand. It’s wicked AF!
Indian Wells looks amazing. Would love to see that tourney one day. Not looking good this year though.
Superbe vue !!!

Lets go Rafa lets go!
So sad it didn't happen this year.. best tournament in the world!!
Super!!
Le meilleur sportif de l'histoire
I’m always amazed how “ragged” some of Nadal’s practice sessions are and then he can crank out a 30 shot rally at full power in an Open final... crazy!
Bleed on the training court, so you only sweat on the match court.
The coach doesnt fail anyone

What really makes this practice video great is the ads that come on every 2 minutes. Thanks RUclips!
Dude What a back he has xdddd im jelaous
And what a legs :D
Imagine a Nadal or a Federer, Djoko.. playing in a real match without pressure like this 😭
Rafa successor was APD 2010 and 2013
2019 was a good year for Nadal
Ah yes, I see you know the gap in the fence trick.

jaykanth reddy Z
There are some low forehands from Nadal that seemed effective and could be great on grass... To anyone who knows... is his heavy top spin forehand that he uses for clay season?... is it his natural stroke where he feels most comfort or confidence?... Or he don't want to mess with it combining it with a flatter stroke? Anyway, the man is prepared for war in the tennis court.
From this angle you can really understand why players at that level grunt.. its the footwork of a boxer while trying to strike a ball over and over and over again.. so much exertion!
1:55 This guy changed my life 🙌

@@justinleeportland i have seen it.
Two great champions from earth!
But Roger and Rafa are not from this planet.
The broke a lot thats right! They broke limits and records, they broke barriers and frontiers and they are sportsmen like no other!
@@JoseAlvarez-dp8fz they are great I agree.. but I don't think Federer is a sportsman.. He's a sore loser and used to think he was THE GOAT. Now he has been humbled because Rafa and Djokovic have shown him they will surpass him. For example- the wimbledon final where he cries and steals the spotlight from Rafa's victory. Anyway, he's not anywhere near as bad as Serena--so I guess it's OK.... ;)
Hello Love tennis can you do a slow motion video of pro players extending the racket on the forehand and backhand please?
Vamooos, Rafa!

@@LoveTennisOfficial How can he be the best since Nadal and Djokovic beat him so much more... You can't be the best if 2 players are better than you... Federer was the best when there was rodick and hewit ...

Love this camera angle.
Rafa's two handed backhand, except for some obvious differences, reminds me of a modern version of a classic two hander of a Jimmy Connors or a Chris Evert, with its straight arm, compact backswing.
What camera did you use for this video?
Interesting change to rafas forehand lately. Instead of closing his racket face during his take back, he is leaving it open. Federer has also "made" this change lately although not as extreme. If you go back and watch both of their strokes from 2 years ago there are massive differences in take back that are super interesting
woa how you even notice that
The king of clay :P
They should use this static camera on live matches
watching his training is as good as watching his matches
Topspin goes crazy
I don’t know about everyone else but when I train I wouldn’t want to be watched. I would be trying new skills not afraid that others are watching...
Rafa has a awsome stroke. I hope he achive No.1 this year.
I think he can't reign ATP like before cause injuries but he is already legend!!!
I love him!!
