An alternative in removing the glue is placing a drop or two of acetone in the glue joint. Most of the time (cyanoacrylic glue) CA is used as a glue for plastics and acetone will degrade CA. After a few minutes you’ll notice a white discoloration of the glue, you now can try unscrewing the lens cover. If it is a little slippery with the fingers, wrap a layer of masking tape around the edge of the lens (to protect it from being damaged) and use a pair of long nose pliers to grip it to unscrew.
My lens holder broke in the midst of taking the glue off. I've got a 20MP Apeman action cam, any idea where I can purchase a lens WITH a holder big enough for the large sensor?
Thank you so much for sharing! Super informative camera lenc demonstration video creation congratulations too! Good day!
