NICE!!! I used to have every figure and vehicle from '82-'86. Unfortunately, my Mom sold them at yardsales when i left home at 17 yrs. old lol. I currently have 2 vintage Hydro Vipers, and a few hundred modern era Cobras, and a few Joes
I was pretty lucky to be able to keep my vintage joes in a shoebox! I have a ton of modern joes too. I’m thinking of doing a vid on them too!😁. Thanks for the comment MICHAEL!!
I have a lot of doubles and triples of GI Joe figures I altered years ago, but I now wish I hadn't. Although I still get compliments to this day for. I could go on for hours. But I'll spare you and only list a few of my favorites. I recast Sgt. Slaughter's hat and epoxied the copy to Duke's head. In addition to that, I painted a fruit salad on his chest and painted his belt gloss black. I recast Tollbooth's head and dremelled the hard hat off of the copy and replaced it with Buzzer's hair. Then, I placed the head on Buzzer. So it looks like the original Buzzer. But without his smile or sunglasses. I made so many alterations on so many of my extra figures, not realizing how much they'd be worth one day. But I had fun, and now I have "GI Joe" figures that no one else has! 🤣🤣🤣
@@cailcampbell5890 yes who knew! These sound great! I’d love to see pics of your creations! Hoi hoi! Great video! I still have all of my GI Joe’s from when they first came out! Mine are a bit worse for wear, they all need repairing. When the movie Predator came out, i was modelling on the top of them and turned them into predators! I have a giant box of bits which i’ve kept. one day i’m going to try and redo them all. We have different ones to the ones in america. Some of my mates are trying to buy the UK Tiger Force off of me, I know it’s worth a small fortune but it’s more the sentimental value. Thanks as always LOCKDOWN! I’m with ya. I’m all about the sentimental value not the cash! Regarding the back drop , I love the card art so I created a mint on card wall ( video to come someday!)
I sold out about 10 years ago. Had a full 82-94 loose complete figure set minus 5 figs. 4 were the mid 90s mail away re paints, & I never found an Eco Warriors Deep Six with the variant color dolphin that's thousands of dollars lol.. Had literally every other figure & variant including the real expensive stuff. One of my biggest regrets...
Wow that must of been quite the site to behold! I’m still working on the 90s line, I have a few more figures that didn’t fit on the shelf! Lol I don’t think I’ll ever be able to part with my Joes, way too attached!
Nice job slowly slowly panning past all of that stuff.. really nice nice collection. I would have given up around 87 because that's when stuff started to get weird. The one thing that I didn't see in there is nightforce but you literally have almost every figure
@@woodman29 oh it's completely crazy! The hilarious part is that they were never that popular when they were out so that's why they are so rare now, no one bought them. I saw a lot of complete figures from nightforce about seven of them on eBay the bidding started at $100 it's at like almost $700 now with 2 days to go. Yeesh. Yo Joe!
Really enjoyed that, very nice collection. Just curious, why don't you have any of the 93 or 94 figures in your collection? I'm a collector and I've stopped at 91, even as a kid I was mighty disappointed by the last three series. Regards from Melbourne, Australia
Thank you for the kind words! I do have quite a a bit of the 93-94 figures. I just ran out of room on the shelf😂 I’m in the process of making more space! 👊😁
Awesome collection!! I’ve seen a few Ripper and Torch figures over the years that had green waists. Do you know if they were made in green or if the blue fades over time?
i have a bunch of these figures. but I only collect the ones I like. so I dont have as many as you. and I dont have any straight arm figures. Im an army builder so I have a bunch of Cobra troopers and vipers lol
@@woodman29 i started buying up those retro cobra troopers from hasbro pulse. especially during that warehouse sale they had recently so much cheaper than buying the vintage stuff and there brand new. same mold as the original but different plastic. highly recommended.
You have quit a collection. I cant afford to collect anywhere near that. I have limited my collection to building a Navy and Marine Corps. For land based troops I have limited that to air assualt troops and artillery troops in tanks, vamps, as well as Sluggers, Howitzers and pilots of planes. For Cobra I have built what amounts to a Navy and Marine Corps on that side as well. Vehicles conist of a couple of tanks, the original MOBAT times 2, 2ea sluggers with a Howitzer, Twin Cannon or Rocket Launcher to tow behind each one of those. Vamp I, II, III some modified vamps with a Hawk missile launcher attached. I have integrated some Click n Play/World Peacekeepers Helicopters of 3 differt types with multiple of each, 2 style of tanks with 3 of each, jets of two types being the Hornets and SU-27, jeeps, HUMMVE, playset bases and off brand diving suits, dive cages and wild life like sharks. Limited Chap Mei toys make an appearance as well like the Harrier Jet, Submarine, Hovercraft and Battleship. I have been collecting parts to build a USS Flagg at some point. Two of the Chap Mei Battleships make up my Naval ships so far. They are 30 inches long and 6 inches wide so not anything to write off either. I have fun painting items to make them look more real and used as well as modifications. Like 2 of may hornets have been made into true Super Hornets with single seat cockpits taken from 25th Anniversary Sky Strikers, they have 3d printed additional weapons beyond stock, targeting pods, jamming pods, working tail hooks and refueling probes that pop out of the nose and radar dishes hidden under hinged nose caps. Two have been modified to be Growlers with two seats, multiple electronic warfare jamming pods, multiple fuel tanks and a drag behind fuel hose and net. I have done many of the same modifications to my Sky Strikers and X-30 jets. One of the X-30 is a naval version now with folding wings, tail hook, extra weapons, refueling probe, and thrust vectoring exhaust. I buy parts of figures and broken ones also ti mix parts and make entirly new characters. The modifications and making new characters is how I have true fun with everything.
