- Okay so this video is me refitting a
Heki 2 roof light!
Part one was me removing
the old one from a Buccaneer....
unfortunately I lost the refit footage so
this is another van! I'm fitting this to
an Elddis motorhome, it doesn't
matter as it's the same process and
sky light!

Great video, my roof light leaking.
Picking a new one up Monday, thanks to you I am quite confident in replacing it myself.
I would have been on the roof doing it!, Now I know the correct way to fit it, many thanks, box.

I did mine in August last year in the baking sunshine, got sunburned in the process but it was nice to see no ingress once I'd taken it off, it was more prevenatative than anything. The time was taking the old mastic out! Oh and surprising how much new sealant it needs to fill the channel and ensure a good seal.

Could this be done without removing the clear dome?
Is there a clear and opening skylight to replace the typical bubble type dome skylight above many showers in RVs? I want to use the existing rectangular opening I've already got. My opening is approximately 12" -13" by ~20" . Thanks

Trying to figure out which Heki roof light is a direct replacement for my Gulfstream motorhome roof light since I cracked the dome and the plastic handle bar broke. These are no longer available from Dometic in USA and I must order from Europe (thanks Dometic... NOT!). Mine, I believe, is the 700mm x 500mm. Can you offer any more insights? I’m going crazy trying to find a replacement. I have pictures but not sure if I can post them here. Thanks! Mary in Tucson AZ

Hi there. The heki 2 has a number of different roof thicknesses... how do you know which one to purchase? Is there a way to get the right part number?

Hi. I am removing ,re-sealing and refitting my heki 2 roof window on my caravan next week as it is leaking a bit. Will sikaflex 512 be a good sealant to use? I also have mastic tape and caraseal idl 99.
I just installed two Heki 2 skylights & I used Sikaflex 552 with perfect results 👌
Will a hair dryer or heat gun help to remove the old mastic
I found white spirit useful after scraping the majority off dry first

Dude, that is soooo going to leak! Give it a couple seasons. Maybe just even one season.
