what I would like to know is say you have to have the complete corner replace then how do you bond the new piece in place, ie: it would be the inside layer, the filling (blue stuff) then the outer layer and then screw it to the side panels

Could this be done without removing the clear dome?

We've just found out both our heki 2 rooflights have cracked frames. We have an MBandG warranty and put a claim in but they said they are windows and will not pay for repair.

Dude, that is soooo going to leak! Give it a couple seasons. Maybe just even one season.

Where do I get the blue expanding glue from, and what’s it called.

Trying to figure out which Heki roof light is a direct replacement for my Gulfstream motorhome roof light since I cracked the dome and the plastic handle bar broke. These are no longer available from Dometic in USA and I must order from Europe (thanks Dometic... NOT!). Mine, I believe, is the 700mm x 500mm. Can you offer any more insights? I’m going crazy trying to find a replacement. I have pictures but not sure if I can post them here. Thanks! Mary in Tucson AZ BTW.... love your video. Made me laugh!

Hi. I am removing ,re-sealing and refitting my heki 2 roof window on my caravan next week as it is leaking a bit. Will sikaflex 512 be a good sealant to use? I also have mastic tape and caraseal idl 99.

Great Vid and quality job keep up the good work

I did mine in August last year in the baking sunshine, got sunburned in the process but it was nice to see no ingress once I'd taken it off, it was more prevenatative than anything. The time was taking the old mastic out! Oh and surprising how much new sealant it needs to fill the channel and ensure a good seal.

You’d have thought that they’d taken their stuff out before hand to make it easier for you to do the test 🙄

You do so well to work on these without any effing and geoffing, I'd be terrible, cursing away.....!

Many thanks for the video, and brilliant timing as yesterday I noticed water dripping down onto the bed (2015 Cruiser) where I thought the seal between the frame and body has failed but the dealership says that it is probably a crack in the frame; seems they have seen a number of these. Looking forward to seeing more, Cheers
