Can you share the read write speeds when copying from laptop/pc on this hdd.. also does this have data protection and recovery? And password protection?

Yes, lekin ye metal body me hain. And iski read write speed usse kahin jyada hain. So higher price is justified.

Yes, it will give same speed. But the port and cable should be capable enough

naye waale ki speed purani waali se better h or reading port type c
It helps in cable as well, since type c can be easily gettable.

the new ultra touch is much faster, under the condition you usb3.2 gen 2 port or thunderbolt port to get faster r/w
If you dont use the correct ports then speed would be slow
