Thanks for making this video it helps me understand the PTO on my 5610 a little better. Mine doesn't want to turn on so I'm wondering if maybe it's not getting hydraulic pressure somehow to actuate the PTO. Anyway I appreciate this video. Keep up the good work.
So did you find out what was wrong? I have a Ford 2000. Pushing in the clutch doesn’t stop the gears for the PTO to engage. I can get it started when the engine is off but the clutch isn’t stopping the turning of the gears so the PTO can engage or disengage when the engine is turning. I’m able to shift the transmission gears just fine though. Any thoughts.

1965 had three different PTO setup's, Live PTO with the hyd clutch pack, as seen in the video, or two transmission drive setup's, one has a two stage clutch and one with a single stage clutch, I'm thinking you have a two stage clutch that's out of adjustment or is frozen on the PTO side.
@@fyrciakfarms199 thanks. When I went out to fiddle with it last night it appears that the clutch pedal and bar assembly just needed some adjustments. Was able to get it working by just adjusting the clutch engagement. Dodged a bullet on that one.
Thank you for the video. My 6610 pto is locked up. Getting ready to break it down. Very good information sir.
How did you fix it? Mine has the same problem the button under the brake is seised up.

There is a small pump just for the pto built in to the main pump and you may have to pull the plug and prime it.
