Flying the Fenix Airbus A320 from Jersey to Cardiff in Microsoft Flight Simulator

- It's been a while since I last looked at the Fenix Airbus A320 in Microsoft Flight Simulator - but given the trials I had with the A330 yesterday, it was a perfect opportunity to see what a "study level" airliner looks like. I obviously have some throttle calibration to look at, and some prep work for the next flight (the transitions were missing for Cardiff!?) - but other than that, what a great aircraft.
Before anybody says it - I know I was late realising the barometric pressure settings are not synchronised between pilot and co-pilot :)

Love the Fenix is indeed a fab piece of coding.
It is good :)
The Fenix is absolutely fantastic! I bought it recently and was nervous it wouldn't run well because I have a very mid tier computer. I ended up being happily surprised. The frames are a couple lower overall but I get zero stutters or skipping, which happens to me in many other aircraft, like the FBW for example. I would highly recommend the Fenix to anyone who is considering buying it.
The Fenix has improved since it was first released. It's still a bit of a beast, but as you say - it's just nice to fly a plane that "just works" :)
ahhh good plenty of seats think I will sit somewhere in the middle and await a nice cup of tea and scones with jams and of course Enjoy The onboard video
you make it look so easy Jon
I love those videos! Im a beginer and i do learn a lot from them! Thanks a lot man!
You're welcome :)
Nicely done. A butter smooth landing.
Not correct though - I should have hit the landing markers on the runway - I floated. It takes practice to know the way an aircraft behaves on finals :)
For the missing transitions in Cardiff: They are hidden above the STARs under "Appr VIAS". Transitions apply for example in the US, where the same STAR can have you arrive from different waypoints (La Guardia for example).
I updated the database late last night - it's fully populated now.
the BARO REF DISCREPANCY message was because the first officers baro needed to be set to standard as well this can be linked in the efb so when captain sets standard so does the FO's
Which is why it reads "X CHECK", heh.
I can now enjoy FENIX after upgrading to a 5800X3D. It runs so much smoother. My 10700k would stutter a lot with it even on performance.
Yep - that detailed cabin and flight model hit frame rate quite a lot :)
Hello guys, I’ve have recently installed the fenix a320 but I am having issues with my Throttles. I have calibrated my TCA throttles correctly and everything, however, for some reason when I set the throttles to the CLB detent my engines seem to go into full thrust which is very odd. Please can someone help me 🙏 thanks.
Gday Jonathan, I was interested in purchasing the Fenix after watching your video but am a little concerned that my pc will not handle it, What in your opinion would be the specs to run this airbus?, (I have no problem running the FBW A32NX). Unfortunately am not in position to update my system at this time it's a Acer Predator G3-710.
I have no idea - each PC varies enormously. The Fenix has improved a lot over time in terms of frame rate, but it's still simulating a lot more than most.
I'm sorry to say. But you are way out of normal procedure for the a320 in msfs. I like your youtube channel, but your giving people wrong information about using the plane.
I short cut things all over the place - especially with the airliners :) In the real world the flight would take many times longer because you're controlled by ATC, there are many more procedures, tests, and so on. At the end of the day *it's a simulator* :)
