BSS DPR944 versus DBX 266XL - Compressor shootout

Today I wanted to try this new compressor of mine, the BSS DPR944, "The Opal Compressor" and decided to compare it against the workhorse DBX 266XL. Tried it on Kick Drum, Snare, Overheads, Bass, Vocals and Masterbuss
My number 1 problem with this is that it doesn't have attack and release knobs on the compressor! Just why?! The Slow/Fast release button is not enough!
But yes, it makes up that flaw with its other advanced features, and it's kinda shame that I didn't get to use those on this video. Mainly the internal sidechain thingy, which to my ear sounds like you are making the whole compressor just a 1 band dynamic EQ, which could be powerfull tool in some cases. The Gate side of the unit looks to be super flexible with all the sidechain options and such
