The RPHA line are the first HJC helmets I've even paid attention to since I bought my very first cheapo HJC when I bought my first bike 20 odd years ago. Actually my first 2 helmets were HJC and I just accocieated them with cheap, these are pretty damn nice though. If I didn't own an LS2 Challenger c already I would probably buy this. Going to be cool to see the new graphics as they come out.
Great review! Was hoping you would be covering the RPHA 12. I personally rode in the 11 Pro but I was also concious of the fact that the side impact testing was below standard - With ECE 22.06 covering this helmet I will pick one up.
@@707LAKE yeah in America it is only DOT, but in Europe and Australia they are at the very least ECE as they are being sold in retailers there. They did the same with the RPHA 11 PRO and PRO Carbon.
@@trevor2830 Well personally, the RPHA-12 is great value as it comes with a dark shield which would be another $70 for most other manufacturers. I ride in an RF-1400 as it has DOT and SNELL 2020 letting me get on the track so thats what I would go for. If I had no intention to track - Arai Countour X - Pinlock and the Drop-Dock Visor for the sun. Hope this helps Trevor.
@@trevor2830 I assume that $500 is your budget considering thats how much the RPHA 70 ST is. I would recommend the RPHA 71 as its the newest version and also reached DOT and ECE 22.06 standard for about that price. I think moving forward look for helmets that hold that ECE 22.06 standard alongside the DOT standard, just cause its safer and if you do go down you are more likely to survive.
Awesome to hear... I wear a size Large in scorpion helmets, shark, and most others... they say this helmet fits tight....especially the cheekpads. Could I size up ?
Just bought it, large size, I have cardo packtalk edge inside, I have a head that could fit in some medium helmets and I find this one to hurt the ears a bit with the cardo and I was expecting it to be quieter than it actually is… the look though is crazy, honest review, dont take too small, been riding with it 10 times already for more or less 30 min rides minumum, neck can hurt sometimes because of the weight too
@monkeyCmonkeyDoo I'm calling the same. I've been using a crappy ruroc atlas 4 for a while and that thing weighs 1750 ish, so God knows how a 1400g helmet hurts this guys neck!
I haven't watched the review Yet but I felt that I should comment about this helmet, it was on my top of the list of Helmets to buy this year but I opted for the k6s, I got a crazy deal on it that I couldn't pass!!but the rpha12 was what I really wanted to get, this video might make me regret buying the agv!!😢, maybe next year I'll get a crazy deal on it who knows!!
can you get your hands on MT Helmets Jarama?? ive been looking for some review and cant find one, idk tho if such helmet brand is present in your country
@speedaddicts I'm not sure if you or anyone else knows this but the "Exhale Ventilation" actually has a Off-On slider on the inside of the helmet!
Appreciate the info. Thanks for watching!
after many helmets, finally bought RPHA 12 and I can't b happier. Best helmet in the class! Perfect fit, comfy, quiet and good looking

@@TheStranger52 So what do you recommend?

@TheStranger52 thanks. What helmet do you recommend for the street? I was checking the Rpha 70 ST

Definitely hope a Pro version comes out with the dual DOT and ECE stickers. My 11 Pro is about 7 years old and overdue for replacement

Just got my 12 in the gray and hi vis yellow. It is lighter than my 11 pro. It looks absolutely incredible!!

I call BS on the "weight" hurting your neck. That's a light helmet, it's actually as light as some full carbon fiber helmets.

Just threw the Rpha 11carbon in the cart and here comes the 12 just in time
lucky!
Nice! Thanks for watching!
Had a RPHA 11 Carbon and loved it...
But my Shoei NXR 2 is just a bit better in every way.
Can't go wrong with Shoei helmets. Thanks for watching!
How many shell size does it have and what sizes have the same shell size?
3 Shell sizes. XS-S, M-L, XL-2XL
can you get your hands on MT Helmets Jarama?? ive been looking for some review and cant find one, idk tho if such helmet brand is present in your country
I'm not familiar with that brand.
I'm stuck between RPHA 12 and RPHA 71. Which do you think is the least noisy helmet for a maxi scooter?
Noise level is very subjective. We have not tested these ourselves. To help mitigate sound we recommend a snug fit with the chin curtain installed.
Is that the titanium color?
Yes it is!
How about the shell size?
3 Shell Sizes. XS-S, M-L, XL-2XL

Prob better if you used a lighter color helmet to demo
Lighter colored helmets tend to mess with our lighting setup. Thanks for watching!
