I love your tutorials Joyce! This one is as informative as all of your others. Thank you so much for the time you spend to put into doing these. I love your work!
Thank you for the great instructions. I love your work. And I agree, Rio Grande should offer you advertising fees! Lol! It was through your suggestion that I found them. I live in Hawaii and it is expensive here. So, Rio Grande is such a help in cost savings. Silver and Gold wire in Hawaii, is 5, yes, 5 times the cost of Rio Grande. So, while Rio Grande may not compensate you in the near future, I am SO grateful to you for pointing me in their direction.
Thank you! While I've used LOS and GUN BLUE, had never heard of this product until it was mentioned on a page in FB. Your tutorial was suggested for those of us not familiar with it. And, please, DON'T feel "silly / dumb" doing a tutorial -- there is always someone, such as myself, who hates learning 'the hard way." :-D Now to go find the tutorial you mentioned with the BIG stone to fit that wrap! PEACE ... Connie in Boston
I haven't found the need to seal it. Since the dark areas are crevices, they don't get rubbed while wearing, so it won't come off. In fact, a finish like that will develop in the nooks and crannies of any piece that is worn long enough/old enough, even if it hasn't been treated to create a patina. You're basically speeding up the natural oxidizing (tarnishing) process :)
Thanks for the good suggestion! I haven't found the need, if I'm wearing gloves and just brushing small amounts of the solution on, but better safe than sorry.
Thank you Debra! I get this comment a fair bit. According to Merriam Webster, both pə-ˈtē-nə and ˈpa-tə-nə are correct pronunciations. www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/patina

Haha, glad you enjoyed it, Dianne. Thanks for watching! So glad you found it helpful
Awesome thanks for the great tutorial!
Thanks for sharing this. Question- do you seal it after using the polishing cloth? I'm wondering if the darker areas would wear off.

You're welcome, Patricia!!
there was no link for the tutorial of how to make the wire piece in this video, could you state the link of the correct video to look a? thanks.
Thank you, it was helpful.
Please don't feel dumb, I would never have heard of this product if you didn't post about it so, thank you.
I would also suggest neutralizing the piece in a baking soda/water mix before continuing to finish the piece, especially if you aren’t wearing gloves.

Thank you. You are saying the word Patina wrong though, fyi
