    for the midi routing part, you could easily make an instrument rack with the operator, add a parallel "External Instrument" Device and route the midi to SerumFX, no additional messy midi track needed.

    Put Operator in an Instrument Rack. Create a new empty parallel chain inside that rack. Add Ext. Instrument device, the choose MIDI out as the channel that has SerumFX. It will now pop up in the 2nd drop down menu along with any other plugins on that channel that receive MIDI input. No need for another channel in the session! Continue adding parallel chains when you need additional MIDI triggers from that MIDI source

    Pitch ramps give it away instantly in tracks.

      I'm kinda the opposite - I shelled out for Suite and can't afford Serum's exorbitant fees having done so. I wonder if there's an Ableton-only equivalent of the Serum effects setup they use here?

      @@Skiamakhos there is, you can use envelope and lfo max for live devices to fire any knob on any device in the chain. search youtube for Ableton Live is a Modular Synth

    Underbelly, I come to you as a humble student. I use Ableton to record live instruments primarily. I’m in the market for a diverse synth plugin to use for auxiliary keyboards and interesting textures for my music. Should I get serum? What do you recommend to blend live instruments with midi? Thanks!
