I absolutely LOVE Splashtail’s expression in the thumbnail, he really has a downright crazy kinda look about him, like he’s lost it completely. So excited to read Wind!
This is basically the writers finally realizing Hawkfrost was such a wasted villain when he was alive so they decided to try again. Literally a cat who looks like him all the way to the details of getting rid of the same cat (Mistystar) to become leader. And that's not even mentioning his manipulation of a young impressionable medicine cat apprentice. (Even implied her sign to be said medicine cat was faked). I'm not complaining I always wished they did more with Hawkfrost, them killing him so early was such a nothing plot point. It didnt even feel like a real event it was so dull. Hopefully they do it better. This whole arc has been mirrors of past arcs trying to be done better, I always hope it'll be good. But, even if it kinda sucks the fans will make it seem better than it actually was

I HAVENT EVEN READ IT BUT YOUVE DONE AN AMAZING JOB AT PORTRAYING THESE CHARACTERS AND THEIR STORIES ITS SO GOOD… i absolutely adore splashtail’s design the gray eyes fit him so well and i love the addition of the freckles, it really helps him stand out against the tigerstar clones!

Only Icewing, Mothwing, and Duskfur believed her and, heck, she confessed that she had a crush on him and he STILL tried to kill her to get what he wanted. Nightheart and Frostpaw have to get more proof. Even when Frostpaw and Puddleshine spied and saw Splashtail and Podlight faking, and even making fun of the Nine-Lives ceremony! How much proof is needed to convince SkyClan and the rest of RiverClan???
