I was looking for a two-stroke engine to fit into a Frisky family three, and found a 800cc DKW engine which I tuned gas-flowed etc to 130 hp it did 125 mph in a straight line. I used an Albion gearbox chain drive to the rear wheel. It lasted 6 1/2 years lots of fun.
I’d love to see more of the car- some pictures would be great, and some more specs; how much does it weigh? What about the exhaust system- just a regular style manifold, or individual headers? Has anyone ever tried expansion chambers on a SAAB two-stroke??? What a great sound!
actually i am a fan of RB block mopars , congratulations on a fine piece of americana . yank cars from the 40s 50s and 60s are very cool cruisers . however the last 50 years of development it is undeniable Yank TANKS were never only good at being loud , consuming extreme quantities of petrol , and 1/4 mile . i stand behind my statement that you criticized
Egentligen skulle SAAB ha använt denna motor i den Norska versionen av JAS 39 Gripen. Men eftersom norrbaggarna istället valde ett amerikanskt reaplan så har SAAB lagt detta motoralternativ i malpåse..... :-)
you are taking my comment a little out of context . this man was bragging about a vintage dodge charger . i am well aware of corvettes and vipers performance around a track . i am also aware of north american built diesels being used for everything under the sun . no need for OVERLY pro american stuff . i was simply pointing out a new economy AMERICAN built, ford focus "st" could rape his vintage charger
and even something cheap like a new ford focus st would rape your charger in EVERY aspect except possibly 1/4 mile time ( and i would not even be sure of that )
That sound, just amazing!

Wow , awesome
I'll also add that when I was 13 years old I got my first car, it was a ' 67 Saab 96 V-4, I miss it a lot.
I love Saab, the engine sound is incredible. An excellent video to explain the doppler effect :D
That was incredible! I so need a Saab 2stroke in my life!
Bästa filmen ever done
Thanks ,,,,

That actually is nice!
@LolzMan7756 "Damn, it sounds nice! Especially when he clogged the 2nd gear!"

Das ist mit Abstand die geilste RENNBIRNE on Utube!

💥💥👍
@AAAZ2A exactly!
The last real car..
Så skall en riktig djungeltrumma låta…
past a speed camera the police be like tha fhaaaaack
What "World record"?
0-500m and 0-1000m for 750cc engines
It sort of matches a V6... maybe I6.
What was the record & how fucking fast did it go??
potatoes records sound better than video quality
recorded with a potato but it sounded awesome

is it the orginal DKW engine
smh...look them up!

Pure crap
my 68 dodge charger will run that speed idling in second gear
so what? this is a 3 cylinder 2 stroke engine of not even 900cc, you cant compare a massive V8 with a 2 cylinder 2 stroke....
Sounds like a 3rotor wankel engine
+Alexandre Cimon Wankel engines are in general two strokes too, so it isn't odd that this car sounds similiar
Dude, we use diesel for TRACTORS. You go plow your fields now and enjoy the diesel sound. What kind of a car enthusiast brags about the mpg's????
ROS MANIA Car enthusiasts who are building cars for endurance racing! More MPG= more laps, fewer pit stops. Who said anything about diesels?
