      it shows how confident he is, deleting that chord progression doesn't mean anything to him, practice has been done and he can move on for something more meaningful, keep in mind he's best selling musician, he needs to follow his instinct, that's what he's really practicing, making music with viewers is just a treat for us, great education right in front of your screen
      but that chord progression was so fucking awesome and moody that had to be made into a fcking song goddamnit just do it Joel just fookin finish erryting

    don't know much about DM's music but I do like the digital edge of Serum for certain genres, dance music being one. trying to create a memorable hook or chord progression is just a bitch, I do recommend some theory until you develop an ear. I think his strength is a good ear.

    • @tranceparentcycle
      @tranceparentcycle 8 лет назад +19

      Guy Dude He's using Serum vst to create the audio, it is ran through a plug in called cthulhu which arpeggiates the sequence.

    • @zetmo6701
      @zetmo6701 6 лет назад +1

      Cthulhu is a MIDI VST Plugin. By this plugin you can transform one shot preset to arpeggio. Seum is a VST Plugin. By him Deadmau5 create this pluck sound (if you delete cutoff modulation you can create bass like Deadmau5)

    ok guys,so when i use cthulu, it creates its own sound while producing an arp. So it doesnt matter if my input instrument is a violin, it creates the same arp sound, as if i used it with a synth. any help?

    • @NachoDiazM

      I think you are doing it the other way around. What you should do is to send the arp channel to the violin sound channel, and not the violin to the arp. Maybe I'm wrong but I thinik that's the way to do it

    • @NachoDiazM
      @NachoDiazM 8 лет назад

      All of this by putting the midi in the arp channel of course

    • @there_vision

      GonMoora [Mau5trapOfficial] usa acordes complejos, con la práctica se llega a este tipo de armonías, se nota que tiene mucho tiempo dedicado a la música, no es algo que se llegue en un día, ni mandando fruta, se requiere de oído, naturalidad musical, de todo, el hecho de que no haya disonancia. .. es deadmau5 nada de lo que haga va a disonar a no ser que él lo quiera así, por algo es el mejor productor del mundo.

    • @elliott7268
      @elliott7268 6 лет назад +1

      Tony Quigley wow thats really basic... In sesion view, double click on one of the rectangles underneath tracks and there you go! In arrangement view, click and drag to highlite the area you want, and hit ctrl + shift + M. Then double click on it. You can draw notes in the grid (with the piano roll along the side) by ether presing 'B' and clicking on the note of your choice or double clicking on the note of your choice... But man... Thats real basic...

      THE THIN GREEN LINE, THAT U SEE BELOW THE NOTE NUMBERS IN CTHULU, THE PURPLE BUTTONS OF NOTES, THEN THE GREY AND THEN THE GREEN LINE; U NEED TO KEEP ADJUSTING THE SIZE OF THAT. LIKE IF YOU FEEL4 NOTES THAT KEEP THE GREEN LINE CONFINED TO THE 4 NOTES. SO THE 4 NOTES GETS REPEATED. :)

      This may seem like an expensive program, but hands down I use Serum to create everything from kick drums, bass drums, synth leads, additional sounds, etc. It is really powerful and you'll be hard pressed to find something as easy and straightforward to use.
      You can purchase it through Splice.com at a monthly $10 / mo subscription rate (rent to own) which is a killer payment plan within itself. Worth every dollar.

    • @elliott7268
      @elliott7268 6 лет назад

      Abhay Rupani You can download many different serum presets from companys like Cymatics but i dont think this is a preset. He designed it himself i think... So you'll have to get you preset design thinking hat on if you wanna accomplish this. Also it could be a wave table sooooo in conclusion, there are multiple diffrent ways to do it... You might even find the preset...
