- SNK (Shin Nihon Kikaku - 新日本企画 New Japan Project), is a Japanese video game hardware and software company. The original SNK was founded in Osaka, Japan, on July 22, 1978, by Eikichi Kawasaki, and existed until October 30, 2001. Anticipating the end of his first company, Kawasaki founded the Playmore Corporation on August 1, 2001. On July 7, 2003 Playmore became SNK Playmore Corporation.
SNK stood out in several of its stages, in its classics we find great successes like Ikari Warriors or Guerrilla War and innovative games like Athena or Vanguard. But above all, its best stage was the creation of the Neo-Geo arcade system. His best-known game series such as Fatal Fury, The King of Fighters or Samurai Shodown were produced with this system. Thanks to the Neo-Geo arcade system, SNK also helped publish many games and collaborate on games from other franchises.
In this video I bring you the collection of arcade games from SNK and SNK Playmore as a developer in chronological order (1978-2010). It is a video with a high educational value and also of preservation of the video game.

Shit really started popping off in 89. 89-95 or so is definitely peak arcade era.
One of my favorite video game companies of all time and is responsible for making my favorite arcade games such as Metal Slug and Samurai Shodown. I would be down if they made a completion that features all or at least the majority from both the pre-Neo Geo, Neo Geo Era, and Post Neo Geo.
I like how “Fatal Fury” re-used the Round 1 music from “Street Smart” in its 2-player mode.
Some of the ones from 91 were featured on Nick Arcade. Alpha Mission II was my fave.

They could've done more with KOTMs and I'm surprised they didn't take an inspiration from the other toku shows to create more beatem up games

SNK games before the Neo Geo were interesting, i still felt that POW and Ikari 3 were better than the neo geo beat them up releases.

I like to use the new MAME configuration options from crt-geom-deluxe. In the latest versions there are 2 very interesting options: "Gamma of simulated CRT", "Custom display Gamma". With these options the shadow mask doesn't get as dark and you can raise the brightness or contrast a bit, simulating very well the brightness of a CRT screen. I also really like to play with the "halation blur width" options depending on the time of the game, put a higher or lower value.

El ya aclaro en un comentario fijado del porque no puso juegos de la hyper neo geo 64 y es porque no se pueden emular bien con mame aunque lo configures ya que son las desventajas del emulador y mas si hay roms que no corren de manera bien y nativa y eso que muchos que juegan en emulacion ya hablaron el tema de mame y sus problemas con algunos roms que o no son compatible o no corren muy aun si usas una pc potente
