- Here is a temporary fix for bloated drone batteries. Both of my HS720E batteries bloated. Batteries aren't cheap, so I fixed one of them.
Thank you for this video. I was about tear the Drone apart. Again, thank you for this video
I was wondering why I couldn’t get the battery out, glad I searched and found your video. I don’t 4:56 think Im going to risk this method, I’ll try and buy new batteries😄
Thanks man
I have the same drone model thas already 2+ years old, the batteries started to bloat just like yours, one reason maybe is that I sometimes kept a fully charged battery for an extended amount of time without using it (don't always have time to fly my drone) and it started to bloat. I am planning to fix my two batteries like what you did, I have to mention that the Battery model is hard to purchase in my country so I have to do a DIY to fix it temporarily until I can purchase a new one. Thanks for your video, it helped with my confidence that fixing it can be done, of course, with safety in mind.
Be careful. Don't let any air in the battery. Do it outside, wear gloves and goggles.
@@mikesyoutubechannel6367 I will take all safety precautions before doing this. Thanks for the video instructions, at least now I know that it's doable. More power!
Had to leave it in the freeze for 3 hours before battery came out. It has broken the plastic cross pieces
Holy cow, I almost set my kitchen on fire doing this! After I pierced the battery, I heard a satisfying hissing noise, but that quickly turned into a jet of white, toxic smoke... I was able to throw it on the patio, where it proceeded to self-immolate. (pics available) DON'T DO THIS!!!
this video is suck
Do Not Recommend This. My battery exploded and caught fire and burned my kitchen counter down.
I follow his instruction but what happened the battery exploded, smoke all over our room
l have a 720 E that had a stuck battery in it ,almost impossible to get it out ,had to break it up inside of the drone to get it out'.Did not know about the freezer trick. Many Thanks
Don't do this! Catastrophic fire!
This ok as long as purchure only the first layer, but do not punchure through the battery else fire.....
Mine have done that. The lights were all on saying charged. Tried to fly it the low battery light popped on right away. Was this the same case for you
Mine held 90% of its charge even after I fixed it. But my drone took a dive on a new battery and it's dead now.
Y.A.L.S. "You Are a Life (battery) Saver! Mike, it worked for my 4DRC M1 Drone battery that had swelled and would come out. I followed all your instructions while wearing safety goggles (lol!)...Thank you sir...😎
The only best thing is patience while the other battery is on its way
This happen to both batteries. I've never used the unit.~! Hope I can get the battery out of the Drone. POS
I will give this a try, I have a bug's 4w and a jjrc x12 and both have bloated batteries😁
Just be careful...Wear gloves and a face shield. The key is to let the gas out without letting any air in (one of mine burst into flames).
$90.00 F-ing for 2 battery packs
Same thing with mine, I will do it but just in case I will put glasses on. I wrote Holy Stone and told them only a year and this happened see if they send me new ones. It doesnt hurt to complain 🤣 I will buy the DJI mini , this one doesn't go far enough.
Be careful. I tried this on my second battery just 2 days ago and it burst into flames. I wore heavy duty gloves and a plastic face shield. However, the first battery I did this to still works great.
@@mikesyoutubechannel6367 I just tried this. One side worked fine. On the other side I pushed the pin in too far. Quite exciting meltdown. Hopefully I'll be able to taste food again real soon after breathing in some of the smoke that was generated while it was doing it's chain reaction meltdown.
@@mikesyoutubechannel6367does the battery STILL work great today?
The drone fell from 300 ft in the sky right into the ocean....and that was with a brand new battery. No more HS drones for me.
@@mikesyoutubechannel6367 nooooooo ahaha I’m so sorry to hear. I ‘needled’ my batteries 3 weeks ago and so far no issues :)
(Phantom 2 vision plus)
The trick is to push on it to let the gas out but no air back in.
Not a good idea at all.
Yeah...true. That's why I put a disclaimer. But it worked for me and I wore protective equipment the second time I did it per recommendations.
Do not try this!! Battery exploded when I tried this. Take video down or some other dumb ass like me that doesn't care about disclaimers will do the same thing!
