I’ve worked with plastic for 5yrs at 3 different companies and I’ve seen the production side and the refining side . Now I want to go deeper and start investing in the extraction companies. Thanks for your helpful video ❤
It's amazing how many things come out of crude oil. I always wanted to know how plastic is made. I'm a truck driver that hauls bulk plastic pellets. Great video!
My child asked me about how plastic is made, I googled it and found this video. I really appreciate you! Very good video even for a child to understand.
Thank you so much! I was having a lot of trouble learning about this process from images, and you gave me a true understanding of what is happening to the crude oil. Very organized and amazing animations!
Very well done! A bit technical, yet easy enough for us dummies to understand. Good job. Slightly entertaining animations (without being too flashy), and good static diagrams to show the flow of information. Good basic descriptions, and some background info, without being too technical (that can get tedious and overwhelming). You could make videos and presentations like this for ANYTHING. Like, "How A Virus Works", or really anything. People would want you to come give presentations everywhere. You could do videos on how people are injured on the job the most, and safety on the job for different industries. Corporations would pay you to help decrease on-the -job injury losses. 👍 Hope you do well. :)
Wow, such a complex process! My biggest question is though, how did ANYONE even come up with the ideas to orchestrate such processes to create plastic in the first place? Seems very unlikely that some would think of this out of thin air. I know that MANY ideas and inventions come from fortunate or even not so fortunate accidents or by trying to create something else. But as you can see in this well detailed video, NOBODY would be thinking of implementing a process like this to create something new, haha! Makes one think real hard...
Cast iron pans have a layer of oil that "polymerizes" to produce the tough and stick-resistant layer. I imagine someone could potentially be interested in that and research further into it. Or maybe something similar happened, not exactly the cast iron example, I'm just spitballing
This goes way beyond discovering things like gunpowder by accident, just to give an example. Gun powder was accidentally discovered by chinese monks trying to create an elixir of life through alchemy, or so that’s what they say …
AYOOO???!! I was literally thinking the exact same thing… like who tf looked at crude oil one day and said you know what we should do? Lets fucking polymerise it! Who tfff

the oil has a name
Its only because crude oil companies need to sell their peteoleum oil. Its easier to derive it in plant oils or HEMPSEED OIL
