  • Hey Everyone! This is a video I put together using my OMTech 150W laser to engrave some 40 oz stanley dupe tumblers. I am going to be going over my whole process of the steps I take to engrave a full wrap onto a 40 oz tumbler.
These full wrap 40 oz cups are a huge hit, and everyone is absolutely loving them! They look amazing when done properly and would highly recommend giving it a try!

So for focus, you are doing your regular focus length at the top and bottom? I see some people doing that, but adding 3mm to their focal length.

Yes same focal distance at the top and the bottom. Not adding anything to it

    Great video my man
I’m about to purchase omtech mf 2028 80w laser with piburn
How long did that full wrap take for you?
Also I do more basic tumblers like half wrap on Stanley’s right now just 4-5 flowers
How long do you think that would take
My current xtool d1 10w hobby is so slow takes 1 hour and 10 mins lol
I’m looking to see if I can get like 6-20 mins with this one

If i am just doing a simple logo on a tumbler it takes 2-3 minutes, full wraps about 45-60 (could probably find higher speed and power settings but im happy with what ive got so havent tried to)
i may be getting another 80W as well

I am about to install my piburn 4.0 for my af2028 60w , piburn suggests 5000 or 12500 per rotation , how is yours working on 360?

I didn’t realize but before I clicked start on the laser I noticed and switched that to 12,300 which is what mine was!

    Bro I just bought a omtech af2028 60w
    I got a piburn 4.0
    Did the suggested settings
    12500
    63mm
Got the right size for the tumbler which is 99’m like you did
My edges come out pixelated not smooth
    Any ideas why?

Hello! So I actually just replaced my 150w laser with 3 AF2028 80w machines.
Did you do a square test on a tumbler? Do a 30x30 square in lightburn and run it on your OMTech and see if it is actually 30x30 (if it isn’t you need to adjust your steps until it is! 😁

@@SodaCityBoards I’m going to try and update you on that one
I checked my dip switches and they are all correct on the Y axis 5000 which is times 2.5 gives me 12500
Also to get rid of those edges I have to lower my interval to .7 AT LEAST but I seen people do very smooth curves and designs with only .1 interval
What settings do you use if you don’t mind me asking, we shouldn’t have much of a difffwrent between our machines
