Anyone who is still blasting Adam for not being more like Freddie don't understand what Brian and Roger need, what Queen needs. They don't need a Freddie imitator. They need someone with real stage presence who can breathe new life into these songs while channeling the spirit of Freddie. Adam is that person. He's done a terrific job over this past decade to help Brian and Roger keep Queen's legacy alive.

I understand this , but I don't think he has enough power in his voice to make the songs alive . Maybe I am just stuck in the past.

Queen with Freddie were truly the best of the best musically, lyrically & performance. What Adam had given to the party is a new dimension of queen no one was expecting. His performances are astounding and a fitting tribute to it's creative founder. No one could have predicted this young man would put Queen not only back on the world map but in the hearts of new & old audiences alike. Totally delightful & indulgent...just as Freddie would have wanted it.
I will always be grateful to Adam for making it possible for Brian and Roger to tour again and play their amazing music to new audiences. Adam respects the band and their legacy and what a singer he is!
Technically it was Paul Rodgers who brought them back to touring but that was only supposed to be a temporary thing to begin with

Paul Rodgers is great for rock and folk, but he didn’t even sing Who Wants to Live Forever and other songs they couldn’t do with him. They had to lower the key of other songs so he could sing them. So while he was an OK stand in, they are home with Adam, who can do it all and has the persona to fit the Queen aesthetic.
@@andreasmith6528 Agree, with Adam they found a much more perfect fit. With Paul, they just didn’t much sound like Queen.
@@carolhagerty4288 Off the top of my head, I can name 15 different genres that a Queen song represents. From metal to rockabilly to madrigal to folk to disco and on and on. And Adam can do all of it too. Paul just didn't have that versatility. He's great for Bad Company, but not for Queen.

I WAS there at Summer Sonic in Tokyo 2014! It was on fire and the moment I fell for Q+AL, they're magnificent! And the Wight Island 2016, especially Who Wants To Live Forever is incredible!!! But they're always incredible! I've seen Q+AL live 6 times in Tokyo, and I saw Queen live with Freddie and John 12 times in Tokyo! Adam Lambert is a gift from god, Q+AL are a miracle! I've been a Queen fan for 40+ years. I will always love and miss Freddie. The man will always be a legend ❤. And now I am a fan of the "new boy". Adam is an amazing live vocalist and performer 💚. I don't compare them to each other, because both are beasts in their own rights. I just love the fact that Roger and Brian can still go out there and rock crowds along with Adam. Long Live Queen 🤘🎵🤘🎵

Freddie isn’t gone he’s still with us with Adam around his legacy will always carry on. Freddie definitely had his hand in fate for them to meet Adam. Thank you Adam, Brian, Roger and the rest of the Queen band for keeping Freddie’s legacy alive. He’s looking down and smiling.

Brian May and Roger Taylor must have a deal with the Gods. To have been fortunate enough to have a singer like Freddie Mercury even once in a lifetime is 1 in a trillion. To find ADAM LAMBERT is like lightening striking in the same place twice. While making the songs his own, he is still able to pay respect to what Queen was, is and will continue to be.
He is nothing like Freddie
I am a big Queen fan since their early years, and I adore Freddie's performances. But if you listen to what Adam said, he never wanted to be a replacement or copy of Fred. He just has an extraordinary voice and goes on stage and performs the songs of Queen in his own way...

Of course he's nothing like Freddie, but he's brilliant as himself, he's not there to be a replacement, this is a collaboration and they were lucky enough to have two amazing frontmen for their band.

I love and appreciate that Queen is able to adapt and change at this stage in their career. New takes on their own music, and take advantage of such a vocalist and performer. I’m a huge Adam Lambert fan, and I have been learning and loving Queen’s music because he’s involved and growing to appreciate the legacy and majesty of this band and it’s history. People ask what artist I’d want back and I say Freddie because he had so much more to do and say. I think he’d be proud of these tours.

I rocked at Queen’s/Adam Lambert concert the first night they performed at Madison Square Garden, NYC a few years ago. It was fabulously magical! What a special memory I have of that dynamite night! Thank you, Brian, Roger, and Adam!

When I first saw Adam perform on the telly, when nobody knew him yet, I remember I thought, 'Wow, this chap might pull off some Queen song...' I'm so happy he finally made it! My daughter, who is a great fan of his, discovered Queen (and Freddie!) thanks to this amazing collaboration. And I am proud I thought of it beforehand... 🤣

QAL was the last concert that I saw before COVID. They were the best of the bestest❤️
It was my first concert. Saw them in Sydney, the day before Fire Fight. Facing the stage although not on the floor of the stadium, a few rows back. Spectular for a first concert, really loud in the best way possible.
I'm very happy that they got together so we can keep on enjoying the music of Queen live

I do love the collaboration Brian and Roger have with Adam and visa versa. It works beautifully and I believe Freddie brought them together so the legend of Queen and their music could live on. They were magical in Dallas on the Rhapsody Tour in 2019 and I’m looking forward to the 2 London shows I’m attending this coming June. I felt Freddie’s spirit in Dallas and I know I’ll feel him stronger in London and I can’t wait! Looking forward with joy and sorrow for the final installment of this wonderful 50 week journey from Queen’s humble beginnings to what they’ve continued to be 50 years on, I hate to see it come to a conclusion, but all good things must eventually end. Thank you for taking us on this fabulous journey! Now, on with the show!

Of all the people alive on this planet, I don’t think there is anyone nearly as perfect for Queen as Adam. I’ve been a Queen fan since 1975 and I adore Freddie, but I also adore Brian and Roger and I’m so glad to see them just thrilled to be able to perform at this level in their 70s. I wish Queen could have a Return of the Mothership concert if John would be willing to come out of retirement for it. Wouldn’t that be amazing???

Every single time I hear Who Wants To Live Forever - 2016 Isle of Wight, I am covered in goosebumps. To me, this is the most perfect performance ever.
Damn, Adam can really belt it! Pretty damn good, in my opinion. I still miss Freddie, but this is by far the 2nd best version of this great band!

Bri and Roger were a gift to Adam, and Adam was a gift to them. And together it was a gift to the world. Could have Bri and Roger found someone else, or would they have, probably, but after Adam came along, and after they all got along so splendidly and together they did such justice to the works of Queen there was no reason for Bri and Roger to look any further! And at the same time they have never stopped giving tribute to the Great Freddie Mercury in all of their performances! It is a gift to the world that "Queen + Adam Lambert" can extend the time that Bri and Roger can continue to entertain us folks. It isn't going to last forever..... Enjoy it while it lasts....
