Hello. Thank you for watching my video. This is because after installing the new router with its default settings, I ended up with 2 subnets: subnet 10.0.0.X and subnet 192.168.50.x. I just found it to be 'cleaner' to have instead 2 subnets with closer addresses, so subnet 10.0.0.X and subnet 10.0.1.X. To achieve that, I changed subnet address 192.168.50.x to subnet address 10.0.1.x.

Any Docsis 3.1 modem will work great. Docsis 3.1 can handle higher speeds that lower rated modems cannot.
