DHIME (Jyapu) Dance of Nepal

  • Dhime Dance:
    This dance comes form the Kathmandu valley. It is very popular dance of the Newar Community. It is specially performed during festivals and is named after the accompanying drum called Dhime, which is the name of the drum in Newari language.

    Jyapu are kiratis.

      some studies suggests that they are descendants of kiratis but it's not sure

      @@mandeepmaharjan2866 yes Jyapus are Kiratis.
      Historians have already said this. Even the look and behavior of Jyapus are similar to the rais and the limbus.
