if i remember correctly, The RS was a spec that was purely made for those who made race/rally cars out of them, Teams and such. So stock seats cuz the seats get replaced anyway, Same with the wheels and brakes. Those things usually get replaced for race/rally cars. Door handles and mirrors are unpainted as the cars typically get liveries anyway, And the wheels are usually steelies as they get replaced as race/rally cars too. The interior is stripped and it didn't come with a radio originally. There for, I always felt like RS stood for RaceSpec / RallySpec. TLDR, it's just a very, Very, stripped down trim.
You could add certain options to the RS model. My '94 Evo 2 RS has AC and electric mirrors for example. Also whilst most came with steel wheels who the hell wants those for their road car. That was only for the rally teams who would even throw away the steel wheels! It's still an RS.
The RS also came with no rear wiper. I have a GC8 RA, the rival to this car. Honestly id prefer a standard unit over the race versions. Easier to live with. This is a very clean example for these days. Evo's usually tend to rust.
I'm already scared what the new owner will do to this car, but since it's very rare, maybe they're gonna keep it original (aside from the stuff that was already aftermarket)
I LOVE THAT INTRO
Same.
On the early evos (1/2/3) the exhaust also comes out the front of the engine and the intake manifold sits behind the engine. I have the Evo 2 RS.
same as my e3. its the early 4g63. they changed it starting with CK chassis.
thank you Derek, it really looks like a great car, congrats to the owner
awesome car, but yeah, that intro was even better! :D

Derek the exhaust still is at the front the first gen 4g63
The RS Evo’s only came with steel wheels. So those Enkei’s are after market.
but you can option it with GSR Wheels
True. Stocm EVO IV RS rims are those steel alloy rims.
Those Enkei's are an OEM option from factory
