I love watching people who love music play music. There is an honesty about them that mere entertainers will never capture!
She and Frank really do love what they're doing.
And considering the instruments of choice, they're definitely innovative in their compositions.
I have also noticed this kind of behavior. They cannot control themselves, and clearly for this family/group they do it for the love of music and not the penny. May they find themselves rich in every way possible that makes and keeps them happy.
Mean Mary is an incredible musician. Love her music and her style.
In my seventies but never to late to find new music and artistes, thank you Mean Mary for some fantastic music, heart warming stuff.

It's Christmas time again(2021) and The Swallow and the Hawk is a regular Christmas tune around hear since 2014 or so.
One of the grandkids says it sound like snow fall.
And she says that she bets you aren't so mean.

Two instruments tug at my heart and soul everytime I hear them. One is the banjo, the other is the bagpipe. I have no explanation for why, but they have ever since I was a child. So, thank you Mean Mary for making such beautiful music with your banjo.

Got to say I stumbled across your music by accident yesterday, I'm usually a hard rock/heavy metal/blues lover, but I have always been in awe of bluegrass musicians and the magic they're capable of with their instruments, it's been a long time since I enjoyed anything country, it's too "poppy" for me, I liked the old stuff. I've finally found something new that I like, and Mean Mary does it all without sounding like everyone else, fantastic. 😃

I can not understand the 2 thumbs down. what is not to like? it is the equivalent of complaining about sunshine and mild temperatures. Mary is one of the most gifted writers and musicians in the world. so thankful that there is RUclips and that I found her music.
