@@Neopremium Thinking Foden was City's best player is like thinking Bellingham was Real Madrid's best player. Obviously attackers will get more attention/headlines/individual praise and awards and all that... The most fair and objective way to compare players across different positions is to look at their importance/influence in their team winning. Rodri was much much more important in City's succes than Foden was. In fact, they literally won a treble the season prior with Foden as a substitute. Also across the entire year, Rodri was the best player for Spain. I agree he wasn't the best at the Euro's specifically. That was Fabian offcourse. Suggesting anyone else is just stupiditiy. You pointing out Lamine Yamal is a prime example of bias towards attackers by the casual football fan. Fabian Ruiz was far and beyond the best player for Spain that tournament. If you look at the other main contenders.... they also weren't the best player for their national team. Mbappe wasn't for France, Bellingham wasn't for England, Kroos wasn't for Germany, Vinicius wasn't for Brazil. The fact is that Rodri played brilliant for Spain and made the team of the tournament of the Euro's (deservedly so). Meanwhile both Bellingham and Vinicius played a poor international tournament. Bringing up national team performances, only strengthens my case.
This is the equivalent to saying if “Ronaldhino wins it, football is dead” They both performed with similar numbers compared to Dinho’s winning season.
If you want to put International tournaments then Dani Carvajal should win it all . I still would give it to Toni Kroos ( you don't understand if you didn't watch Real Madrid )

Rodri is the PR boy, we all know that.
Bellingham outperformed Rodri in blocks, matched him in interceptions and tackles, pass accuracy, passes into the final third, won possession 5x as much as him, fouled 10x as much as him, all whilst putting up the same numbers Kaka did to win his ballon d’or.

Rodri should win it, by a country mile actually.

Podri who wasn’t City’s best player (Foden was) Podri who wasn’t Spain’s best player (Yamala was)
@@Neopremium
Thinking Foden was City's best player is like thinking Bellingham was Real Madrid's best player.
Salah?
RODRIIII
palmer better be top 10

If Vini wins it football is dead
Cry about it
This is the equivalent to saying if “Ronaldhino wins it, football is dead”
They both performed with similar numbers compared to Dinho’s winning season.
And that’s facts
@@sneakytacos773dont ever mention Vini in the same sentence as Dinho again😭
Yeah but if it was Messi... "Give him the 9th he scored 5pens"
You can definitely make an argument for why one of the Top 2 deserves to win this yeas BdO, but after that no one else comes close in my opinion.
If you want to put International tournaments then Dani Carvajal should win it all . I still would give it to Toni Kroos ( you don't understand if you didn't watch Real Madrid )
Rodri deserves
do it for kopa trophy
We all know it's Vinicius Junior deep down was the best player last season. But there is this agenda against him that wants many of you to say Rodri. Please be real
Vini with a doubt deserves he started off the season with injuries but came back the the end of the season and showed for big knockout games of the best competition and scored the final his second final he scores in. Rodri is being pushed for ballon dor just so vini doesn’t win 🤣just like foden was being pushed by people before the euros nobody was talking about Rodri till the euro ended imo Yamal, nico, and Fabian were more important for Spain. Vini sure did have the best copa America but when your that dominant in the UCL it’s clear
Salah is a crime its clearly rasim in 2019 salah was insane and messi was first vvd second and salah i think num 6 just because he is arab

Surely Kane would deserve it no? It is an individual award. He won Bundesliga, Champions league and Euro golden boots and European golden shoe. Surely should be a contender.
Latauro should win over anybody both country and club performed well vini hasn’t done anything for country and wasn’t even top goal scorer from la liga or champions he should even be in the discussion
The games gone if Rodri doesn’t win it
The fact yamal is here over people like frimpong and salah shows this is a PR award (most of the time) yamal did jack shit during the season and only got attention because of 7 good games

Spain played better without him in the final. Rodri is not balondor worthy I'm sorry. He won the Euros so that's pushes him in the top 10 but Carvajal should even be above him.
Tchouameni has an ongoing unbeaten streak 35+ games should he also not be in the debate then?
@@paulkta8635clueless. Was the best midfielder in the world last 2 years easily. And he won everything possible.
City players don’t deserve any awards, hope he doesn’t win he should play for a proper team not cheats
@@tomashehir I cant with you. Called me clueless then bring up "two years " for this years ballondr .🤦🏾♂️
@@paulkta8635 mainly said that because I think he should’ve won it last year aswell. Either him or Haaland should’ve got it, not messi.. Just because he missed one game out of the whole year you’re saying he doesn’t deserve it 😂 every game last season he was out injured for City they struggled massively and that’s where they dropped most of their points. For me it’s got to be Rodri, otherwise Vini.
Rodri deserves it. Or Carvajal, maybe. Vini ghosted for brazil, and Carvajal outplayed him in the UCL final. Jude was good at the start for Madrid but he fell off throughout the season imo. He had that clutch goal in the Euros but that covered up a lot of his horrible performances. He was good in the final against spain though to be fair.
I actually think Lautauro Martinez is the only attacker you could argue did enough to win it, but I think its time to give it to another position.
Also can we just appreciate Yamal getting balon d’or nominee at 17? He will win one, i’m putting my bet in now!
vini wont win cause racism. guarantee all these old european men will vote Rodri or Lautaro
How does Martín odegaard make it in the list
Rodri should win it but we know what team is getting it....
Vini Jr all the way. As you said, his clutch moments in the season cant be matched. Stepped up massively every time Madrid had a tough and important game
Where was he in the beginning of the season when it was Jude who was the one making clutch performances in la liga to make sure they won the league. I'm not say Jude should win it but dn't forget that Vini was injured at the beginning of the season and people only started saying he should win it towards the end of the season
@@cameronadams1242the injury sets him back a bit but it’s gonna be a minute until we get a better ucl performance than Vini just had. Absolutely cooked every defence he went against in every knockout game. He had the best la liga performance of the season against (at the time) 2nd place Girona, 1 goal, 2 assists, and creating Bellingham’s second goal. Literally made his fullback cry. Scored a hat trick against Barca in a final, got a goal and an assist in the last clásico of the season.
Yamal over musiala is criminal
Rodri for ballon d’or 🗣️
So foden shouldn’t be in top 10 because he was bad for England but you’re happy with vini winning it when he’s been bad for Brazil?
It’s gotta be Rodri all day. He should’ve won it last year even, or even Haaland.
Haaland?
vini doesn´t deserve it this year the ballon d´or is for the entire 23/24 season and he was injurd at the start and had a mid copa so in my opinion he doesn't deserve de ballon d'or for just being incredible half a season
But when he played he was the best in the Crucial moments no?
