Love the take on the rating of football decades. It’s the most emotional aspect and will differ per generation of football fans. Opening the discussion however is beautiful as it makes you reflect on how beautiful this game is and how much joy it has been giving us for DECADES! Lovely video!

For the 90s ball I would’ve used the Adidas Questra. Sadly it’s not as iconic as the Tango but it feels good to play with and it has a gorgeous design.

Football peaked in 1990’s/2000’s regarding flair and entertainment. Since then athleticism has taken over.
Btw, your assessment on skills during the 80’s is a little off in my opinion, considering the most skilful player to ever live played in the 80’s.
Skills in the 90’s included Bergkamp and LeTissier. Plus Ronaldinho and Zidane.

First of all, you can’t say they dominated an entire decade when they only won 20% of the domestic league titles. That’s a contradiction.
Second, you could just say they dominated Europe in the 2010s instead which is also debatable because the entire decade is ten years and they won the UCL in less than half of the decade. So, they didn’t really dominate did they. It’s hard to dominate an entire continent when you didn’t even dominate your own country/league.
Third, a lot of their success is attributed to offside goals and dodgy referees.
