That was my first book I began learning from. I think its a decent beginners guide but over time you're gonna bump into issues the book doesn't cover but thats a rare occurrence and I think the book covers enough for a beginner to go on. Also the grey top on tubes always means its still good, if its white then its bad. It oxides when exposed to gas and its what helps keep the vacuum and when its gone its gone (Called the getter)
