Hi Kamani, thanks you for all your information. I was able to successfully transfer my photos and videos after purchasing the device recommended here in this video. How can I transfer my contacts from my iPhone to a thumb drive if I do not have a cloud or removable sim card? Thank you
Glad I could help! 😊. As for copying your contacts, there are different ways to do it. But the easiest way is by simply going into your contacts app, select lists, select which list of contacts you’d like to backup, long press that list until “export” pops up, then you can select “save to files” then navigate to your external storage or wherever you want to back them up. The only caveat here is that it will save them as a “contact card”, not an editable list like and excel spreadsheet. I’m not aware of any app that can be used to convert that file just yet (but you just gave me a great video idea 💡) 😄. But that contact card file can only be used on another iPhone unless it’s converted.

To be completely real with you bro. Save yourself the time and headache and just get 1 of the adapters I linked from the video, copy your raw files back to an SD card or USB drive or SSD, and just copy them back to the phone from there. The PC + lightning cable combo is a nightmare… painfully slow plus can be finicky and annoying. The adapters are pretty cheap and are well worth it.
@@christianmoran8122 yes you can do as many as you like. I show this with copying multiple files that are both photos and videos in this follow up video I did a couple months ago: ruclips.net/video/Ug7Aolot1Jw/видео.html

Lol yea I’m mad that you pretty much have no choice with built in sd card readers in phones now… unless you look at cheaper budget options. As for whether you choose iPhone or Samsung (android), it’s all depends on your circumstances with how you use your phone and which ecosystem you prefer.
Not at all. You can copy hundreds or even thousands of files at once! Just be aware that the more files you do at the same time, naturally there will be a longer wait time.
My iPhone 12 has a Photos file where my photos are all stored. How, if I may simply copy and paste the entire folder to an external drive then delete the Photos folder for new empty storage?
If you’re speaking about your gallery photos then you’ll have to select the photos manually (all of them or in batches) and copy and paste them as shown in the video, or use “share to file” option. If you’re speaking about an actual separate folder on your iPhone with the photos, then simply go into the files app as shown in the video, navigate to the folder then select it, then copy and paste it to the external drive all done within the files app. Then you can delete the old folder once complete. Hope that all helps 😊
1. It’s pretty easy to select multiple files to do so the transfer. Simply press the “select”button in the top right corner of your screen, then while holding down on the screen from the first picture, drag your finger to the right and downwards and hold it there as the screen moves downwards and quickly selects and many files as you desire. I show copying multiple files at once in this update video I did here: ruclips.net/video/Ug7Aolot1Jw/видео.html 2.If you have thousands of files, I under no circumstance recommend you try to transfer them all at once (unless you have an iPhone 15 or 16 Pro Max with usb 3.1 Gen 2 speeds). 3. If it’s an older iPhone (from the regular iPhone 16, 15, or any model below that, I highly recommend copying in batches of a few hundred at a time because the lightning port is sadly slow and capped at USB 2.0 speeds so it will cause it to choke if you attempt to do thousands at once (of course it depends on the file sizes). The method shown in the video, however is the fastest way to backup your files… using the cable included in box to connect to PC or Mac is a No-go unless you want to know true pain 😅.
If you have music files directly stored to the iPhone storage, then you simply need to dig into your files app to find the storage location and then copy them over to the external usb drive. If you are talking about music and playlists saved in iTunes or Apple Music then you’re out of luck my friend. There is a way to do something via iTunes but it’s a process for another video 😅.
While I can’t speak directly to the specific time it will take, it shouldn’t take too long at all. Just remember the lightning port is capped at USB 2.0 speeds which is about 480 mb/s. So it should take around 5-7 minutes or so using math 🤷🏾♂️.
Yes you can copy and paste as many pictures and videos you like using this very same method. I only showed 1 as an example. Here’s an update video showing the exact same method to copy multiple pictures and video at the same time: ruclips.net/video/Ug7Aolot1Jw/видео.html
Does your flash drive transfer multiple at a time or how many videos or photos can you transfer or copy at one time I had got a sandisk expand flash drive and spent $60 for a 128gb and it only allows me to copy 50 photos at a time or ONLY 5 videos at a time…. 😡😡😡😡
Yes you definitely can transfer multiple at a time. You have 2 ways of copying the files. 1 is by selecting “copy” and pasting it to the flash drive: this method has a limit to the amount of photos you can copy. 2 is to select “save to files” which has no limit in the amount of files you are copying. The main difference between the 2 is that when you select “copy” it will automatically convert the photos to the universal jpeg format when you paste them to the flash drive. Please bear in mind that the lightning port is only usb 2.0 speeds so it will take a while if you transfer a lot of files at once.
You most definitely can copy over any file format you desire from the phone to basically any storage device. I did an updated video here actually clearing that up: ruclips.net/video/Ug7Aolot1Jw/видео.html
Hello Kamani. Sorry mate; your instruction was quite rapid and as you were clicking away your IPhone was quite wayward in that it prevent4ed me from observing what you were clicking on to down load the photos. End of story; I could nopt follow what you were doing. I have the SD Card reader with a lightning jack, but that was about all I was able to follow. *HELP!*
Sorry you weren’t able to follow my friend. But I’ll be happy to help. It’s pretty simple really. Once you have the lightning to SD card reader, all you need to to is: 1. Plug it into the phone 2. Plug in the sd card 3. Open your gallery 4. Select all the photos and videos you want to copy/save 5. Press the share option (in the bottom left corner of screen) 6. You can either press copy (if it’s pictures only and you wish to save them in jpeg format to open on any other device) or share directly to the files app if you have videos selected as well. 7. Go to the files app on the phone and open it 8. You should then go to the SD card in the files app and then open it and either paste/share it directly there, or create another sub-folder in the sd card and paste/share them there. AND THATS IT! If you’re having any further difficulties or confusion, feel free to ask away! Hope that helped.
Yes it should work fine with iPhone 7 as far as I know. Once you have a working files app and on a recent enough version of iOS. What version of iOS are you on?
I tried but no luck. The music i have I uploaded using a computer that broke on me (which had music files im trying to move) this music is on my iphones itunes app but i cannot access it to move it.
If it’s stored on iTunes, you’re going to unfortunately have to use a 3rd party app to convert it to audio files (for example mp3 files) and have them locally stored on your iPhone before you can copy them off. You can only copy readily accessible files (on your iPhone) to a storage device (except for photos and videos in your iCloud which can be copied directly).
You most definitely can do videos as well. As a matter of fact you can copy over any file you want. However, please note that you cannot “copy” both videos and photos at the same time. If that is what you’re trying to do or to simply copy over videos only, then you will have to select “share to” instead and select “files” and navigate to your sd card afterwards. I went more in depth with this in an update video I did here: ruclips.net/video/Ug7Aolot1Jw/видео.html
I haven’t tried transferring that much at once. But I have moved over a couple hundred pictures and a few videos. It worked like a charm so I don’t see why not. Either way, if it can’t handle such a large volume at once, all you have to do is transfer in batches. Just bare in mind that the iPhone Lighting port only runs at USB 2.0 speeds so it will be really slow at transferring such a large volume of data no matter what. Good luck my friend 🍻.
@@KamaniBrown Thank your for the tips! I have run out of storage on my iPhone, so I’ve been looking for solutions on how to transfer all my photos and videos.

@@SawyerMoreno-p9e that means the device needs to be formatted. Especially if it’s a usb drive or SSD. Try formatting the device to exFAT using a PC or Mac first.
Yes you sure can. You can even copy multiple file types at the same time. I show this in action in my update video here: ruclips.net/video/Ug7Aolot1Jw/видео.html
It’s the same exact method for the iPad my friend. However to select all photos in your gallery, simply press the “select” button in the top right corner of your screen, then select the first photo you want to copy, then touch the second photo beside it (and in the same motion while your finger is still on the screen) drag your finger to the right and then down to the right hand corner (hold your finger there and watch it scroll down to the desired amount of photos you want to copy). Then select share, then you select copy or “share to files” (if you chose different file types such as videos from your gallery at the same time), then just like the video, you go to your files app and select where you would like the files to be copied and then paste it there.
@@TeddyTegu I have an iPad Pro as well and I have issues moving my files and media back and forth. What generation iPad do you have? Also, did you try formatting the drive to exFAT using a Mac or PC

It’s the same exact method my friend. You just select the video instead of a picture. It works for any file type and you can copy to and from the iPhone. Just like with your computer.
@@DARK2SHARK Oh my bad. You are absolutely correct. I made reference to the copy and paste function specifically for pictures because it actually converts the files to jpeg that way, which makes it universal to use on your computer and other devices… the “save to files” option for photos will just copy it in the original HEIF format which will make it difficult to open on other devices. I will clear this up in another video. But you are absolutely correct my friend, for videos you should use the “save to files” option.

Then select share, then you select copy or “share to files” (if you chose different file types such as videos from your gallery at the same time), then just like the video, you go to your files app and select where you would like the files to be copied and then paste it there.
@@KamaniBrown ok I have 856 photos! Will all the photos paste?
1. Select all
2. Copy all
3 paste all
4 copy all to folder correct?
You can only download photos from SD card to phone...you can not move photos from phone to SD card.
@@TeddyTegu yes you can definitely do both ways. I do it all the time. I will be releasing a video shortly showing exactly this.
@KamaniBrown I have an iPad pro and it only goes one way, at least it used to...did they update that?
@@TeddyTegu I have an iPad Pro as well and I have issues moving my files and media back and forth. What generation iPad do you have? Also, did you try formatting the drive to exFAT using a Mac or PC
I just used this method and it worked! I’m so happy as it’s been driving me crazy. Thanks for this video 😊
@@jasonandrews4750 you’re welcome my friend 😊. I’m glad it all worked out! Glad I could help and thanks for watching 🍻
It looks simple but you shoot through things so fast my eyes can’t keep upm
😅 it actually is a pretty simple process regardless of whether you use a usb device or SD card. Feel free to ask any questions if you need additional tips to make it easier for you. However I made 2 separate videos dedicated to using either device. You can check them out here:
1. Lightning to SD Card reader: ruclips.net/video/QuGoRzGLDvs/видео.html
2. Lightning to USB storage: ruclips.net/video/iNR6uxytdas/видео.html
Thank god
Happy to help my friend 😁
Super Thanks
You’re most welcome my friend 🍻
How can I copy video🥹
It’s the same exact method my friend. You just select the video instead of a picture. It works for any file type and you can copy to and from the iPhone. Just like with your computer.
@@KamaniBrown yeah I found that but there is no option 'copy' for videos instead of this there is a 'save to files' option 😁
@@KamaniBrown I am ur new subscriber ❤️
@@DARK2SHARK Thanks for the support my friend 🍻
How about video?
It’s the same exact method with video my friend. I did an update video showing this along with other tips: ruclips.net/video/Ug7Aolot1Jw/видео.html
To much talk about the connection V for the transfer photo to the computer or hard drive people brain not focusing after 5 minute just fast more weau thank you 👋
That’s Americans for you! Want EVERYTHING instantly. lol
no solution for copy video, only images
Thanks for watching 🍻. Copying videos is exactly the same method once it’s in your gallery. There is no difference at all. I did a follow up video showing how to copy multiple images and video at the same time here:
ruclips.net/video/Ug7Aolot1Jw/видео.html
Too much time talking about price and NOT HOW-TO
If you don’t know how to do this you might be sped
You literally didn’t even bother watching the video.
Thank you
You’re most welcome and thanks for watching 😊
