My mother didn’t even leave me alone with her father or her brothers alone. As a child I always wondered why this was the case.
Fast forward and I'm in my late 30s, i found out only this year that my best friend was m0lested by her paternal uncle from aged 8 to 11. She only opened up to her younger sister about this recently and found out that she too was being abused around the same time from the age of 7-10. By the same Uncle. Not only has it been an ongoing trauma, but tragically a trauma that has doubled in magnitude for them. I cried for weeks after 💔
I am forever grateful to my mother for her fierce protection over her children 💗

Parents should learn Tajweed and Qirah on their own and teach their kids themselves at home. And if you can’t, at least send them girls to female teachers to reduce the risk of getting harassed by predators. This is an extremely upsetting incident and cases as such should never happen.

I was touched inappropriately at tutoring when I was 5 by an older person that the teacher asked to help me. I cant remember if it happened more than once, however I told my mom who told me to tell the teacher. I did that, she slapped that person in face and removed that person from tuition. I found out like 12 years later the teacher didn't tell his mother why she removed him. Other than that I wasn't too terribly affected because the right steps were taken swiftly, no joke I completely forgot for 10 years about it.
That's power of adressing things before it gets out of hand, harm is greatly reduced. Ofc this situation is a lot more extreme than mine Subhanallah.

I read through these comments and a lot of people keep mentioning the separation of genders. While I agree that that is 100% a valid point and that Allah has implemented these restrictions and rules for our safety, no one seems to be wanting to address the fact that this type of abuse is not only perpetrated by men towards women or young girls. This is a disgusting, egregious vile behavior that is perpetrated by both men and women towards both genders. Men have abused other males and women have abused both males and females. I know several people who have been abused in this manner at the hands of someone of the same gender. No child should be left alone with a single person, period. Parents need to be much more diligent and protective of their children. As a mother of four, I would never leave my kids alone with anybody. Ever. It doesn’t matter if it’s a female. That’s not gonna happen. I would never send my girls to a female teacher because that would make them safe. I would never send my boys to a male teacher because that would make them safe. No one gets access to my children by themselves. Either myself or my husband have to be there, but no one is accessing my children alone. That includes family, teachers, religious leaders, nobody. Speaking of someone who has endured that type of abuse, once that damage is done, it can never be undone. I 100% agree that I would rather be overly paranoid when it comes to the safety of my children then risk something like that happening. The level of trauma that type of abuse causes can truly break somebody.

My faith is at its weakest, but I am the happiest I've been in forever-a bittersweet feeling.
When I was younger, if I were on fire, my parents and other adult family members would stop and pray rather than grab a fire extinguisher. Islamic teachings were used to gaslight me,
It tore me apart. Now, I'm stitching my soul back together through psychology and self-therapy.
I believe many Muslims, in their journey of submission to Allah, have forgotten what He has given them. The disregard for human intellect is baffling; it seems we decided hundreds of years ago to stop learning. Islamic knowledge has become quantifiable, and anything newly discovered is labelled innovation, hypocrisy, blasphemy, or reformism. Ironically, even what we now call the most authentic forms of Islam were once under even worse scrutiny.
I hope you succeed in your ambitions. You’re the only person I’ve seen who combines trauma science with Islam. Although your content is aimed primarily at women, it has helped me a lot in regaining trust in religion.

A major issue today is the influence of freemixing and the spread of liberal ideologies within Western interpretations of Islam. Institutions like Al-Maghrib and figures such as YQ and OS have been called out for promoting a more liberal version of Islam, and now we see them making public statements like, "We never allow ourselves to be alone with women," as if to distance themselves from their previous stance. This shift highlights why traditional madrassa settings are so strict about interactions between males and females. They typically enforce complete separation, or in some cases, they avoid such mixed settings altogether. While it’s true that incidents of abuse, including pedophilia, have occurred in madrassas, it’s important to note that such issues are not unique to Islamic institutions. Abuse can happen in any sector-corporate, educational, or otherwise. The key is to ensure proper safeguards and accountability, not to dismiss or overlook the larger problem.

This case of perversion, promiscuity, and the sexual exploitation of certain men highlights the validity of Allah's Divine Laws as outlined in Sharia, particularly concerning modesty, hijab, and the appropriate levels of interaction between men and women. Those secularized Muslims who align themselves with the values of secularism and feminism, and who criticize or label Sharia as overly strict, are often misguided. Every commandment from Allah is designed to safeguard women and young girls from the predatory behaviors exhibited by individuals like this. It is essential to recognize the protective intentions behind these laws. But yet these Secularised so called Muslims are criticizing and barking at the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan who is trying to implement Divine Laws of Hijab, modesty, level of male and female interaction that are ultimately intended to protect women. Allah's Laws are for the benefit of mankind, they are not to restrict them but to protect them from the dark evil inside them like this case in hand.

its funny how you think this happened due to secularism or feminism, even though many texan masjids have gone through similar things and many of them have tried to cover it up. People like you always use scapegoats such as feminism, when the issue is our own muslim community and how we are not strict with the evil people themselves

Sister its not about choosing the "right" leader. Its about systemic changes to prevent risks and pitfalls.
    A) imams should not teach opposite gender (his wife should or a female imam should)
    B) no kids left unsupervised with any imam
    C) gender segregation offline and online
    D) imam needs to keep his balls empty before leaving home
    E) no gender mixing (no APNA, ICNA etc conventions either)
    F) less kids to give more better tarbiya to each kid....every trauma starts at home with abandonment

What is wrong with you? You are acting like child grooming is something normal that anyone falls into when they are tempted. Bet you are one of them

there is sufficient evidence in the fbi files... Anything as serious as this, regarding child abuse, should be taken very.seriously! There is no room for benefit or mercy for these kinds of horrid individuals causing deep pain for children.

@@zeldamiaz9858 hey hey stop it there..... enough of this BS..... evil is evil...... the abused kid will suffer because of HIS CRIMINAL ACT (if the investigation reveals its totally true), and the family of the criminal will also suffer because OF YOU, yes you ARE NEARLY AS CRIMINAL..... you and everyone propagating the same sh1t everytime some scandal happen.... and the ummah wil suffer because of YOU....... he did the act in silence he will not be responsible in the eyes of Allah of this mass mediatisation..... YOU WILL be accountable for that...... no one asked anyone to put the names, the faces or anything..... if anyone of these pitiful content makers were genuine, they would simply put no single reference to the person, not even saying " a famous quran teacher", they would simply warn people about these things to protect their kids..... (even if in this case, he isnt the main actor in this drama, even if the FBI want it to be so, the main culprit is sadly THE WICKED MOTHER according to the data)
