Went to microcenter yesterday and holy hell I had to wait in line to get a 3070 for like 2 hours. Ended up getting the very last one in stock, was definitely worth it but jeez I can only imagine walking into somewhere and just grabbing a new graphics card, like damn.

I finally did it guys, I have built my first ever PC following this guide step by step :) IK it's 2023 and I am a bit late for this, but I live in Romania and the parts are way more expensive here. Still after 1 year of money grinding and hunting good prices I am able to say that I did it! This adventure was also a great learning experience, so I encourage any new guy dreaming to get a new PC not to buy a pre-built one!

I'm thanking you because my son is a junior in high school hes an hes Is Is computer programming course with his high school at a local Tech campus. And my wife and I even drove 3 hours away to our local micro center as you'll make it look amazing and amazing is a understatement of that store. We live in Newport News Virginia we drove all the way to Maryland to buy all the components that he can build his 1st game in the 1st game in pc an eventually upgrade. His teacher had his programming class said that he is one of the most interested student he Teachers so not only is this a gift for Christmas but it is an investment. And does creators like yourself and others that I've watched over It's time and only building P c's but but reviewing technology that I enjoy watching. Did I miss it!? I don't recall him mentioning the use of an Anti-Static Mat to prevent ESD. If you are a newbie and are unaware, you want to make sure you have one of these mats. Otherwise, electrostatic discharge (ESD) will damage your components.
@@adrianjayy His came with it preapplied, as will many (generally including stock coolers.) I know this comment is old but for anyone else wondering. I agree he could have pointed out to be sure your cooler doesn't need it separately. For the above poster, static mats generally aren't needed but they and bracelets aren't a bad "just in case" thing to have.

Buying a capture card isn't essential, you will be 100% fine with using encoding on your pc natively, especially if you have a NVIDIA GPU with nvenc

Did I miss it!? I don't recall him mentioning the use of an Anti-Static Mat to prevent ESD. If you are a newbie and are unaware, you want to make sure you have one of these mats. Otherwise, electrostatic discharge (ESD) will damage your components.
do we not need therm anymore when seating the cpu?
@@adrianjayy His came with it preapplied, as will many (generally including stock coolers.) I know this comment is old but for anyone else wondering. I agree he could have pointed out to be sure your cooler doesn't need it separately.
For the above poster, static mats generally aren't needed but they and bracelets aren't a bad "just in case" thing to have.
